dental practice to be avoided 3/4/2012

this place is AWFUL. if your insurance suggests you go here, find a different dentist. DO NOT SEE A DENTIST AT THIS PRACTICE!! after coming here for two mediocre cleanings for a year, my company switched insurance plans and despite the fact that the office accepts the new insurance, they told me ""they are not accepting new patients"" and left me to find a new dentist elsewhere. this place is a joke, the work is shoddy and there are way too many other dentists in new york city to bother coming here. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS more

Worst dental experience of my life! 3/26/2009

I've gone for 2 things. The first time I went to have a cavity filled. The experience was stressful. The doctor and the nurse where arguing over me and neglecting the fact that I was getting soaked in and was visibly uncomfortable. I left with plaster all over my face, shirt, and even my hair. Worst thing is that noone said anything to me. I went to the bathroom before leaving and discovered the mess. This was a simple cavity.I didn't say anything. Next was to replace a crown. Same vibe, the dentist seems rushed. The nurse gives me the feeling that I am inconveniencing her by just being there. Just not a good feeling. This time my gums were bleeding pretty bad. This has never happened to me..not even brushing my teeth. Noone seemed worried so I wasn't either. Then I get up to leave. The doctor is already gone, the nurse is huffing and puffing as she is cleaning up and I realize my shirt is soaked with blod. Again, noone says anything!! This is not normal. I will never set foot in that dusty place again. Bedside manner is terrible. And dental work felt questionable. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Never made it past reception 10/3/2008

I went in as a new patient. Arrived early so I could fill out all the paperwork. And then I waited. And I waited some more. I kept asking the receptionist how much longer it would be and she naturally gave me the standard issued ""just a few more minutes"" answer. After almost an hour of waiting I was told that the dentist i would be seeing shared an office with another dentist there and they were both running behind and would I mind rescheduling? Yes, as a matter of fact I would. \r They were very unprofessional and extremely blase about the whole thing. Definitely not going back. Cons: rude staff, dingy offices more

Best Hygenist in town! 1/8/2008

I have been a client of this practice and their wonderful hygenist for the past 12 years. She has always been extremely attentive, professional and caring. She provides a topical anesthetic (gel which is applied with a cotton swab) which relieves any pain or discomfort I used to feel when having my teeth cleaned. I have very sensitive gums and hated having my teeth cleaned until I met this hygenist. Now I never miss an appointment, have never had a cavity, and my gums are in great shape. I have recommended this office to all my coworkers, family, and several friends who are now patients and have had similar and very positive experiences. I commend this hygenist on her skills and interest in the well being of her patients. more

Worst Dental Experience In My Life 2/28/2007

This was the worst dentist I have ever been to. First, they won't even clean your teeth at your first appointment, and don't bother to tell you that until they complete your ""checkup"" (during which they just did a couple x-rays, and the doctor looked in my mouth for about 3 seconds.) Then, on my return visit for the cleaning, it was the WORST experience I have ever had at a dentist. I got my cleaning done in a dust-filled, chlostrophobic room with scary disney figurines collecting dust everywhere. Not to mention that the hygienist played music, of her choice, from what looked like a transistor radio. But that doesn't matter...here comes the worst part: the hygienist used local anesthetic FOR A CLEANING, then proceeded to shred my gums. Even with the anesthetic, I could tell tools were going where they had never gone before. It was still painful, and I could taste the ramifications filling my mouth. And, to save a little time I guess, the hygienist neglected to clean half of my teeth (only did bottom...decided to skip the top???) I was actually grateful for that. All in all, it was the scariest dental experience I have ever had. Please DO NOT go here. Cons: Scary, Painful, Dirty more
