For the price, this was the best gym I found in Manhattan. Clean. Staff was competent. My only complaint was that often certain machines were broken.\r

Also, I really enjoyed the steamroom, but sometimes that was broken as well.\r

Also liked the fact that with my Passport Membership, I could use any other NYSC branch. Very convenient. Also some of the other branches have swimming pools.\r

I definitely liked the 14th St branch much better than the one on Seventh Avenue and Christopher Street! The staff at Chirstopher Street was pretty clueless, so I switched.
Pros: price, clean overall, convenience of membership, responsive staff on 14th St
Cons: steamroom doesn't always work, some broken machines
