Clothing is great service is horrific 8/3/2008

I went to the MaxMara store because Saks Fifth Avenue was out of my size for a jacket I wanted. I love max mara and in fact have 5 suits from them, 10 skirts and over 20 blouses. I should also so I'm only late 20s working professional. The minute I walked in the door, I was treated rudely as if I couldn't afford anything in their store. No sales person was willing to help me and when I asked for help, I was twice told that they did not have anything on sale right now. \r \r Last week, the head designer of Max Mara visited Saks and I told him about my experience. He reimbursed me with $1000 of clothes credit for my experience (which I used at Saks) and I understand the people have been spoken to.\r \r The clothing is great, but as a rule, just buy it at Saks. Pros: MaxMara has amazing clothing Cons: The service people should all be terminated, they also don't take returns (Saks does) more

The clothing is sophisticated and understated, as well as elegant. The look is timeless. Another bonus is that the sales associates are extremely helpful instead of condescending and snotty. Definitely worth a trip and the money. Pros: Timeless looks, Sleek lines, Great service more
