Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name. I've always wanted to be a regular at a bar like Cheers and feel the camaraderie and warmth of an oft-frequented haunt. And while they might not know your name at Armstrong's (they'll at least make one up for you if you go there long enough), they make newcomer and established barfly alike feel at home. The food (sandwiches, burgers, salads) may be typical bar fare, but it is served up to perfection. My particular favorites are the Cobb salad served with either the balsamic vinaigrette or the honey mustard dressing, the Mediterranean chicken sandwich, and the fries (crisp and thin). If you truly want to take advantage of all that Armstrong's has to offer, head on over on a Wednesday for Quiz Night where you are sure to meet the gregarious Quizmaster Chris, keeper of all knowledge unnecessary , esoteric, or just plain ""Who knows that?""-inducing. Be aware, Quiz Night is not for the ill-informed, but Chris's questions, involving everything from those irrascible co-eds on A Different World to 1950s baseball to world capitals (the capital of Lichtenstein isn't Lichtenstein City, for the record), will keep everyone involved and looking for a chance to be the team hero. However, even if your encyclopedic recollection falls short, it's worth it to grab some friends and head to Armstrong's to test your mettle and enjoy some good food, good beer, and good times.
