I have been going to Haveli for the past 20 years, even in it's earlier incarnation as Shagorika, and have always had a consistently great meal and experience. I have known Rahman...

Worst

Lots of fatty oil floating on top of the Dopiaz curry and not much sauce underneath.

Indian in the East Village 3/21/2006

Fancy decor, comfortable seating, tasty food, and good service. I truly enjoyed my visit to this Indian restaurant in the East Village. The price is of course a little higher than your usual Indian takeout but it is worth it in my opinion. I have no complaints at all and will definitely return whenever I am in the area. Give it a try! more

Great Indian Dish in East Village, NYC. 7/11/2005

I have been going to Haveli for few years now and being an Indian myself, take my words for it... their food is just amazing as always and their price is just great. I can't remember going there and spending more than $25 on myself for a yummy dinner. Sometimes on the weekends for dinner, there may be line out side but just be patient, their food is worth the wait. My favorite is their Tandoori Chicken with Basmati Rice, just hmmmp.... fine! more
