This is a small intimate store with a selection of basic, well-made gowns. You won't find anything unusual here but it's worth the stop. Pros: quality fo dresses, good place to start Cons: limited selection, nothing unusual more

Great experience from beginning to end. Extremely helpful, knowledegable and professional staff (thanks, Paula) guided me to my perfect wedding gown. They have top brands at much lower prices than retail. Alterations were perfect and not overpriced. Anyone who would complain about the Gown Company obviously does not know much about wedding gowns and must be impossible to please. Thanks Gown Company! more

A Bride-to-Be's Secret Treasure 12/8/2002

I was appalled to read the previous review and could not help but defend one of the city's greatest hidden treasures. I found my wedding dress here-brand new Angel Sanchez-for 75% off retail. Paula, the owner, was incredibly helpful throughout my entire search and even came to my rescue during a near-disaster alteration (my tailor of choice, not hers). She successfully advocated on my behalf and saved me hundreds of dollars. I would refer all city brides to this store. Pros: designer bargains, impeccable service more

They Suck! 11/24/2002

value of dress is decent but DO NOT under any circumstances go there for alterations. when they sell dress, they will always say alterations is 'minimal' but when time comes to actually do it...the actual costs can be 5x of what was quotes..i.e quote $100, cost actual is $500 +!! the service is horrible and frequent delays and cancellation in appmt on THEIR PART. Go elsewhere! more
