I took my 2 kids there and boy oh boy did I (not they) had a blast! lol I went during the NCAA Tourney and the place was a madhouse filled w/ corporate & sports crazed fans! Altho...

Worst

Dont worry about missing any of the game because there are tvs in every stall. This is the typical tourist trap. Overpriced lousy food, in the middle of Times Square. The bar i...

disappointed 9/4/2004

I had friends in from out of town and took them there. It was horrible, from the food to the service. Our server forgot everything. It was so bad, the restaurant had to comp our entire bill. I will never go back. Pros: good TV,s Cons: , bad food, forgetful waiters more

Bad Food, Great Place to Catch a Game 8/22/2004

Great atmosphere to watch football games. Too bad the food is horrible. Fill up your tummy beforehand and then head into the ESPNzone for a game and you'll be just fine. The video games are also alot of fun. Pros: Sports, Sports, Video Games more

fine place 4/20/2004

a nice friendly atmosphere will good people working there. The food is good especially the fries, good waiters, the game room is fun go there and have fun Pros: food, people, gameroom more

Worth a Visit 8/5/2003

We visited in July of 2003 and it is definately worth the stop. Prices are high and food is a bit uninspired, but the atmosphere is great. Like someone mentioned before visit the restrooms to wash your hands and get the latest scores. Gift shop is pricey but had some unusal gifts. Pros: atmosphere, large screens Cons: pricey, wait time more

VERYVERY OVER-RATED 7/8/2003

This place is very over-rated. The food was very expensive, and the place was so over crowded. The arcade spot was alright, yet it was over crowd, and it didn't have a large variety of games. The service was actually ok. However the food was terrible, and the arcade games sucked. Pros: OK service Cons: Crappy Food, Expensive Food, Terrible Value more

Best Bathrooms In New York 6/12/2003

Dont worry about missing any of the game because there are tvs in every stall. This is the typical tourist trap. Overpriced lousy food, in the middle of Times Square. The bar is pretty cool with the wall of TVs. Great place to catch a game. Dont go on :Big Game"" nights though, gets overcrowded. The arcade is fun, but very overpriced. I would recommend to go just for the bathrooms! Pros: Bathrooms, Wall of TVs Cons: Full of Tourists, BAD FOOD, Overpriced more

Awesome Place to Eat 6/2/2003

ESPN Zone is GREAT.. The atmosphere is awesome... The ZONE nachos are the best nachos I ever ate... My boyfriend and I go to ESPN zone everytime we come into the city before a Yankeee Game.. It is a great place to see.. If you have to wait there are games upstairs and many things to pass the time with... I recomend this place!! Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Food more

Highly over-rated 5/21/2003

If you're not hungry and don't want to watch ""the game"", then this is the perfect sports bar for you! Like everything in Times Square this place is a tourist trap and sucks greatly! If you're not a yuppy, this place is not for you! The food is somewhat tasty but the portions are very small (especially for a sports bar). Downstairs, 95% of the TV's are small and positioned so that as many tables as possible cannot view them without a set of binoculars. Cons: expensive more

dessert 2/27/2003

The Cholocate chip cookie dessert is my favorite. I have been there countless times for games and friends, its a great place for families, friends and groups to enjoy the food, drinks, games, and watch a game. Or You can play games upstairs and be a kid again. more

The best so eat it! 2/4/2003

This place works hard to be the best. Afew guests are always bitter that they can't have it their way so they write bad comments. Well you must be cheap and dont go out often. Stay home if you cant go out or go to the Zoo. This is not a question of should we build every restaurant to your satisfaction. The Zone is great and so are other places. If you dont like it then try it again. Pros: Management, Staff, Food Cons: Rude people if drunk more

Good time and great view 2/2/2003

The ESPN Zone has both its positive and negative aspects. The food and drinks are overpriced and the place does smell of a tourist trap. However, the big screen TV's give you a great view of any sporting event. And the games upstairs, while they get old after awhile, are fun while waiting to be called. The nachos, however, are really good and you can't go wrong with the Zone Burger. Pros: Games are fun, nachos are good, big screen TV's Cons: usually crowded, overpriced, long waits more

Great Times Square 1/18/2003

We recently went to the ESPN Zone for the 1st time for a birthday party. My son is highly allergic to a few different things. I phoned ahead to speak to the Head Chef regarding my concerns with my son's allergies. The Chef told me to ask for him when we arrived and he personally oversaw the preparation of my son's lunch. I'm truely touched that he took time out of his busy day to cater to our needs. The food was great and all the kids had a blast. Even the adults were acting like big kids! Pros: Chef, Food, Service Cons: Loud, Crowded more

Remarkable idiocy 1/15/2003

Every time I want to watch a game at the ESPNZone I find the hosts are unable to manage their own seating policy. They will direct you from floor to floor passing dozens of open tables while telling you that there will be a long wait to be seated. Unfortunately, this is the only bar near work that gets many out of town games, but this is rarely worth the hassle. more

ESPN NOZone 12/13/2002

The very embodiment of commercialization. It shouldn't even be in the ""Bar"" category. Pros: sliders Cons: tourists, tourists, tourists more

never again... 11/26/2002

poor/rude service, and surprisingly few big screens for such a huge place. there are such a limit of seats in the place (main viewing area) to actually catch the game that if you don't come early, expect to spend the first half standing... without service. Cons: pricey, limited event seating more

overpriced, $30 minimum per person 11/12/2002

A thirty dollar minimum per person sitting at a table is outrageous. The waiter is aware that he is going to get a 20% tip at a minimum, so he isn't exactly busting his tail to make sure everything is as it is supposed to be. Beers were $6.25 each for a normal sized beer. Lots of TV's but what real sports bar doesn't have that. I couldn't recommend it to anyone. Pros: TVs Cons: overpriced, longwait, $30 minimum person more

Spend your Money and Time Elsewhere 10/18/2002

ESPN Zone is a place to go once. I think they realize that because every one of their restaurants around the country has the worst service, slow and forgetful (hey, even I know to bring out the appitizers before the main course... need I say more). The only thing that they really have going for them is the multitude of televisions playing various games for kids big and small. The food is no better than TGIFridays but is more expensive. Pros: TV, Games Cons: Service, Prices, Food more

rip off 10/18/2002

I don't understand the high value rating to a sports bar that has a minimum, tiny over priced drinks and very bland food. It has a real touristey feel from the moment you walk in and they treat you like a pidgeon to be plucked. more

Non-Zone 10/4/2002

Worst ESPN Zone I have been in. Bad sight lines for TV's; during baseball season every TV in lower lounged tuned into 2 games (do you really need 25 TV's showing the same thing?). Bad service. Food decent. Pros: Food, Location Cons: Crowded, Service, Games more

Gimme a Break! 9/25/2002

Tourist trap! If you like the corperate feel of an antiseptic environment with no class or neighborhood feel to it at all, go here! Pros: all games Cons: can't hear a thing, to pricey, not fun more
