Great Place to Have a Party 7/24/2011

This place was AMAZING. We booked the backroom for a party here and I was so impressed with everything. more

Great place 11/4/2009

Loved this place.. we found it walking by on the street coming from the bus stop place.. Pros: service, food, etc. more

nice hangout 7/21/2009

First time to NYC, stopped in here for a bloody mary Saturday morning. Great atmostphere, nice window perch, low key, and a really friendly waitress who drew us a map and gave us a bunch of tips when we asked what we should do in the neighborhood. more

Best Bar in the West Village 12/3/2008

I live in the neighborhood and this is by FAR the most unpretentious and cool bar around. I have hosted and attended quite a few private parties in the back room and they're always perfect. Whether you're looking to be wild and crazy or totally chill, this is the location. The staff is incredible and if you've been there twice, you can expect to be treated like a regular. Therese's Stoli-O Bomb is my favorite specialty. Oh, and the food! The sliders- especially the lobster BLTs are amazing and a perfect start to an evening. Seriously, you can't go wrong here. Pros: Great vibe, Unpretentious, Excellent staff, Awesome food Cons: None! more

This is a fun spot to unwind, and have a hard earned cocktail! or a fantastic meal with a date... 11/18/2008

All I can say is LOU LOU LOU I LOVE YOU!!!!! He makes me laugh! He is so great to talk to! He works hard to make this the best Pub in the City! I love the staff, the food, and you cant beat the best bartenders in town! Mark, Anthony, who loves you baby!!!!! more

Great neighborhood Bar - Solid Restaurant 11/2/2008

Dublin is one of those surprises in the neighborhood. We go there for appetizers and drinks - although the dinner menu has some great choices. If the appetizers are any indication, the dinner choices must be awesome. We usually go to chat and discuss the latest in fashion so Dublin's neighborhood atmosphere lends itself to good conversation. We love the salads, the crab cakes, sliders and I love the smoked salmon appetizer that is served on a fried potato platter. Just scrumptious. If you are in the mood for something different to drink, the bar is the place to go and experiment. The service is good and staff are very friendly and relaxed. This restaurant is a gem. Dublin is also good for single diners who are looking for someplace comfortable to dine. more

pub, wine bar, restaurant - it's got it all 4/29/2008

This is by far my favorite bar in Manhattan. Unpretentious. Its a neighborhood pub, a wine bar, a lovely restaurant, an outdoor cafe and a place to sing and dance all wrapped up into one. The staff is wonderful. Especially Lou! (contrary to another reviewers opinion) This is a place you can bring a date for a conversation, a group of friends to party, or your parents for dinner. Go for brunch...you'll wind up spending the day drinking mimosas, sangria and ""lucious lous"" in the sun while playing scrabble with neighbors and watching the game on one of the plasmas. more

Great Place To Hang Out With Great Food 3/30/2008

I have been here many times and really enjoy tthe food and most of the staff is awsome with the exception of Lou. Avoid his crast and rudeness and your trip to Dublin 6 will be great. Why someone with this style of personality is in the hospitality business is beyond me. more

Irish bar through and through - BEST PINT, FRIENDLY SERVICE 8/21/2007

My fave bar in the city! Great pint, fun music, amazing & friendly bartenders. On the weekends D6 is packed with a fun crowd ready to swig pints and listen to the DJ play a mix of british indie and 80's, with a small mix of todays fave (without over-doing top 40 stuffiness). Weekday happy hours are pretty amazing...not too crowded, gorgeous new, comfy barstools, and a few tables. Must get there early to get a table up front and especially early to get the one in the big open window on a perfect day. Pros: Owner and bartenders friendly, quick drink service Cons: Slow food service on the bar side, can get a bit crowded thurs-sat more

Great Food, Fun Nightlife 6/6/2007

Comfortably dimly lit, our entry into the dining room was a tantalising prequel to an amazing evening. We started with the cheese plate, excellent selections and a great wine list to boot. The duck confit was wonderful, nice crispy skin and succulent meat, and the creamy risotto was a perfect compliment. My wife loved the chicken which was ""cooked to perfection."". After dinner we finished our chocolate truffles and headed over to the bar. Great vibe, awesome music everyone was in good spirits and before we knew it, it was 4 A.M. Overall it was an evening of great dining and a lot of fun had by all. Highly Recommended by both of us. Pros: Ambiance, Great Beer Selection - Tap and Bottle Cons: If any, a bit crowded on the weekend. more

Great Beer Selection 4/23/2007

I went there once and would definitely go back if I find myself in the neighborhood. They have a fantastic beer selection on draft and by the bottle. The funny thing is that they detail alcohol content of the beers on their chalkboards. So, whether you are there to taste the beer or have other motives, it works out! \r \r And, if you are lucky you can sit out front... Pros: beer selection Cons: bathroom is downstairs... more

Always Great 3/22/2007

Dublin is a great neighborhood bar- the crowd and the vibe varies from night to night, but the staff is the best and it's always a good time! And Connect Four. Who could ask for anything more? Pros: Clean, Great staff, Mixed Crowd, Back room perfect for groups Cons: Sometimes very crowded, Sometimes very empty more

Irish Pub Gets Trendy 6/21/2005

Even a classic Irish pub is trendy in the meat-packing district. Correction, the Irish pub is classic but its patrons were trendy. Went for a quick drink on a Sat. night. The place was packed but in a good way. A good place to grab a drink being heading somewhere else. Or, a good place to nurse your beer and talk to buddies all night long. more

Awesome salad 6/17/2005

This is my new favorite neighborhood bar. My fiance lives down the street and we go there all the time. It's always a nice, friendly vibe and a great place to grab a low key dinner. They have an awesome salad with apples and walnuts. And on a nice day they open up the front of the bar to the street so you can people watch. The only bad thing was they didn't make my favorite drink (Malibu Bay Breeze) so well. Pros: salads, front opens Cons: Malibu Bay Breezes more

great mellow vibe 3/10/2005

One of my favorite places to go on a chilly night. The crowd that comes in is friendly and easy-going. The Guinness beef stew is good, the fish-n-chips are great. more
