Came to Sapa on a very nice evening out. This Asian inspired French restaurant was abso;lutely delightful. Everyone who seemed to be working there was happy, all the clients were more than happy, and I was more than happy with the food and service. Definitely come here on a nice date, for a birthday, or just to relax and have some great food.
Pros: love love love

I love their hummus and their trufle pizza and they have great soups that change seasonally. I come with friends and we get a bunch of things to share for dinner tapas style. THen we'll do flights and everyone shares the wine too. THe wine list is great and everything we've had we love. Staff is super friendly and knowledsgable and atmosphere is cool yet relaxed. I love the Monday jazz thing they have going on too.
Pros: staff,ambiance,food and wine

Wow!! What a treat. We had the 6 course tasting menu to celebrate our 1st Anniversary. Only one flaw, the egg and pancetta dish. It was the most amazing egg with bacon in a cream foam with white truffle (i think). But it wasn't breakfast time. Also ther was a loud woman sitting next to us, We heard her whole conversation. The best was when her date said he didn't want to be in a relationship with her. I laughed loud enough so she could hear me. The service was impecable. I was pampered so much it was a pleasure paying the check. Excellent restaurant expierience.

I can't really add much to the superlatives about the food. It's wonderful. So I'll focus instead on two points that aren't often addressed in reviews I've read.
First, despite the high overall costs, this restaurant is quite a value. The $98 dollar menu brings four courses rather than the usual three and all of them are good sized. That might not matter much to small women but for a large man like me, it's nice not to walk out of a big dinner feeling hungry.
Second, the chairs are really comfortable. This may sound like a minor point, but it's not. When you're settling in for what can easily be a three-hour meal, you can only enjoy it if you're comfy. A shocking number of top dining spots don't seem to understand this.
My one critique: The decoration in the dining room is beginning to look both warn and dated. It's probably time for a refresh.
Pros: Incredible food, excellent service, great value
Cons: decor beginning to look worn

My boyfriend took me to Le Bernardin for Valentine's Day this year and I can't even describe how wonderful our meal was. Everything we tried melted in our mouths, which is why I guess it is considered one of the best seafood restaurants in the world. I will definitely be returning to Le Bernardin in the future,
Pros: THE FOOD, Wine selection, class/ambience
Cons: None - except price (but well worth it)

Brasserie is the ulimate dining hotspot -- exceptional fare, remarkable atmospheric flare and outstanding service. I consider myself a connoisseur of NYC dining, and I cannot express strongly enough how overwelming pleased I was with every aspect of Brasserie. It is a not-to-be missed dining destination for any occasion, including a romantic dinner date, business lunch or Sunday brunch. I even recommend it for occassions such as Mother's Day and Easter. They serve an amazing prix fix meal that trumps anything you'd get elsewhere. Complements to the chef! I'm confident that every one will agree that Brasserie is out of this world. In fact, this would be an understatement. You have not dined in NYC until you've tried this restaurant. My menu selects: escargots bourguignon, beet salad, long island duck, sea bass and chocolate beignets.
Pros: ALL
Cons: NONE
