Great Health Club to go to 12/23/2006

That lady does not know what she is talking about. I swim there in the morning afternoon and evening and \r there are no shrieking kids. Beautiful accommodations - I love the chairs. In the summer you sun bath outside in a beautiful sun deck. The woman does not know what she is talking about I go every day except Fridays when the pool is closed for cleaning. I swim mostly. The weight rooms are for adults only .\r The lady who wrote that review must have come on a weekend. Of course there are kids after 11pm then but parents in such a luxury building know etiquette quite well and their kids are very well behaved on the weekend. That woman obviously needs to find a old foggy gym where the age of the people are above 65 and they just do not like kids. That is the gym for her. Its obvious. Check it out at 6am in the morning. No kids lady on a weekday. They go to school anyway! Pros: Great place overall Great pool Great ,sun deck, Great staff Cons: The Sauna and Steam room have plumbing troubles still not resolved after many months more

Disappointing 11/18/2003

This is a small gym with cardio machines, a modest but complete weight room and attractive swimming pool. Why then was I so disappointed? The management runs it more like a day care center than a health club. There are shrieking kids at all hours, even in the evening. And how can you complain? They're just kids, you know. So what if a kid throws a screaming fit when his mother makes him put on a diaper under his bathing suit before they get in the pool? So what if they play on the machines in wet bathing suits? There is very limited adults-only swim on weekends, and when kids are allowed in they turn it into a kiddie pool. Was I selfish or wrong to expect a more relaxing, grown-up atmosphere? The sullen staff doesn't supervise or have much interest in fitness. Pros: nice facility, good location, not too costly Cons: noisy, poorly supervised, too children oriented more
