These people who wrote these reviews don't know what they're talking about, and you can tell by the way they write. I went here and my girlfriend went to American(895 bucks worth of garbage)and HER girlfriend went to New York($695, it sucked). I paid $495 and got a job in four days--the other two people are still waiting, and they attended those schools last year! Authentic had cool practice nights at real bars; TIPS certification; a resume service; a textbook that kicked the other schools' asses; fabulous, funny, helpful instructors withtons of experience, and a job placement staff that gave me PERSONAL attention. They have bar managers on their staff that will hire you to work in their bars; all the other schools did was give you a list of job openings that came right off Craigs List. American showed half their class on VIDEOTAPE(an outrageous ripoff)and their sales rep promised my girlfriend jobs at a bunch of places that WEREN'T EVEN OPEN ANYMORE! They also don;t provide a TIPS card, which you need to work in NYC now. Her girlfriend went to New York. She's SMOKIN' HOT, smart, and bilingual, and they still haven't found her a job!!!! I let her go on some of the leads I got from Authentic, and she got hired RIGHT AWAY! Look, here's the deal--Authentic has the best price and the best program, and they were super nice and polite to me, and they knew what they were talking about(what they teach versus what the other schools taught my friends--I was in shock how bad their curriculums were! And the instructors at those schools were just kids. Authentic was whistle- clean and organized--great people and great set-up. I had to write this because it annoys me to read opinions from idiots who you can tell were just too stupid to follow instrructions and probably are unemployable to begin with. Sounds like sour grapes from losers. If you go the school route, this is the ONLY choice that makes sense, and I would reccomend it to ayone. See for yourself!
Pros: price, depth of curriculum, REAL LIVE job placement people(not websites)
Cons: None, and I strongly dispute any B.S. written elsewhere
