BEWARE AGAIN!!! The hardware on my Celine box bag needed a spring replaced and then I asked for a polish that would give my bag more luster (mind you it is not an old bag, I just wanted some TLC for it from this 'bag spa'). Bag came back damaged and in worse condition than when I sent it and I am sooooooo completely disappointed!! they discolored the lovely classy cognac color and now it is a cheap red tint and they are refusing to acknowlege! I even sent it back twice at their request, but instead I recieved insults stating that i did not know what I was talking about! Anyone that spends that much on a bag is obviously keen on details. Do not trust them with your valuable bags because they do not care and on top of that are rude and absolutely horrible in customer service! definitely a rip off!!! more

I brought some purses to Artbag many years ago when the shop was on the east side of Madison Avenue and was extremely happy with the service and the prices. There were some lovely old gentlemen who were courtly, courteous and did impeccable work. A while ago I tried the shop for some repairs to Gucci purses and was most unhappy. The salesperson nitpicked with me for each individual specific aspect of the job, quoted ridiculously high prices and as a result I did not do the full work on the purse. The purse just looks old and worn. I could have bought a spiffy looking, less fancy purse for the prices he asked. They are grumpy, say little and some good healthy competition might just improve the place. Any nearby shops for similar work nearby? Thx. more

I had a Valentino bag repaired here - it wasn't a big deal but it still cost $100!!! A year later the same problem - needs to be repaired again - and I called for some information about how much time they need, and they guy who answered was totally abrupt and rude. I don't mind paying for good work, but poor work and an arrogant attitude aren't going to my money again. This East Side attitudes doesn't work with us folks from the West Side and beyond! If I'm paying someone to do something, I expect that they can find a way to be nice - because I'm nice to them! I'll be going to the competition next time, even if it is more inconvenient to get there. more

I took my orange balenciaga there to be cleaned because alittle bit of black dye had rubbed off on it. They told me no promises that cleaning would make it better. Fine. When I got my bag back, they had REPAINTED the entire thing. Now instead of distressed leather (which is the balenciaga signature) I have a flat leather bag that looks like I got it in china town. My bag is completely ruined. Instead of ""cleaning"" it (which is what was represented to me) they completely changed the look of my bag. They said the ""polish"" would wear away with time but I can't even bare to wear it. Please ask lots of questions about the process they will use on the bag. I wish I did....\r Cons: Be prepared not to be able to wear your bag anymore more
