I was early to my appointment and still waited over an hour past my appointment time. When I finally got into the exam room I was asked to completely undress and put on a gown. Dr. Nutt came in and decided what she would do based on her scan of my body for skin cancer? I was there for an ongoing acne problem! She did not take even a moment to listen to me or to take into consideration my history or any of the current things I was doing. This was a new referral after moving to this state. I had already been seeing a dermatologist before. Dr. Nutt cut me off every time I tried to give her information. She was clearly behind schedule and decided to make it up with the (literally) two minutes she spent with the acne patient. She simply decided to treat me with a benzoyl peroxide wash and some retinoids (I am already prescribed the retinoids). She then told me to stop what I was doing and do this for three months. What? A family practice physician can provide this treatment! I am an adult and so a benzoyl wash isn't what my skin needs since I am not oily! Even I know that. Besides if she took a moment to listen ... I had been there, done that, years ago! Then when I tried to question her she told me I was impatient and without checking into my history (she didn't want to hear any of it) recommended a daily moisturizer that is actually one of the worst for me and has ingredients I am allergic to! She then shook my hand and walked out. Clearly, Dr. Nutt is either not experienced enough with this type of dermatology or doesn't care. More to the point, she is not able to listen to and address the concerns of the patient in front of her. I feel I completely wasted a referral from my insurance company and that this was a waste of my time and insurance money! Pros: Staff has great skin Cons: Not a good impression for a first visit
