Lanza is a good, family-owned Italian restaurant in the East Village with excellently valued early and late dinner specials that include appetizer, entrée and dessert. This is a good choice for a friendly meal and has a nice, if slightly cliché atmosphere. Certainly the price is right, and unlike most restaurants in the neighborhood it's not hectic here.
