Great pizza 9/29/2006

I just had really great pizza for lunch. I don't eat it often, so I'm definitely not an NYC pizza connoisseuse, but Two Boots is great. I tried the "Mr. Pink": slices of tomato, seasoned chicken, cheese and oregano, and a slice of plain. The best part about it is the crust, which arguably makes a pizza what it is. It's so crisp, thin and not at all doughy. It also seemed to have some seasoning baked into it so it had a slight spiciness to it, which I liked a lot. They have 3 locations around Manhattan, so if you're near one check it out! more

At the end of the day, you are limited by what is left over and what is left over may be some funky combination of toppings on a pie that has been sitting there half the day. I skipped a slice and went for a calzone - not the most flavorful I have ever had, but certainly filling. Some folks swear that the slices here are the best in town, so I will have to come back and try one. I ate for under $8 (including a bottled drink) - not bad for Rockefeller Center. The guys behind the counter were very nice! more
