The first thing that hits you when you enter the restaurant is the poor acoustics. It is so loud as to be deafening. At one point during the dinner, dance music was added to the cacophony, which didn't help matters. When I approached the hostess station, I provided my name and asked if my table was ready. She was totally incredulous that I even asked. The hostess also acted as the coat check girl, so she disappeared for about 5-10 minutes before I was actually seated. The food was decent, but at $40 per entree (no joke), I want EXCELLENT, not decent food. For example, I ordered the rack of lamb, medium rare. It was served medium. Again, you might say, no big deal, but at $41, I want medium rare. In addition, it took our waiter about 15 minutes to bring us menus and a wine list. Are you serious? There was ample bus staff, but since the tables are so tightly packed, they constantly hit the back of your chairs while you're dining. It was extremely annoying. Net-net, if you're going to spend this type of money, there are plenty of world class restaurants in NYC that more than out shine this poorly executed dining establishment. I would put money down right now that this place won't make it to Summer 2010.
Pros: Absoutely Nothing
Cons: Loud, Over Priced, Poor Service
