AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! 11/8/2011

This place is the worst place I've ever dealt with! They told me the place I was renting (124 Lexington Ave.) would be cleaned and repainted when I signed the lease. Move in day rolls around and the place is covered with dead and alive cock roaches, chipping paint, and tons of dust. This company said they'd fix it, which delayed our move-in date, but they had the balls to charge us for the full month. While living here for a year (fml), it didn't matter how many roach bombs I set off or how clean I was, the roaches were every where. To top, this place changed landlords twice in the year and the only reason I found out was because I called to get the place exterminated. (After calling for a few wks, the old landlord told me there was a new landlord). I never saw either of them and the building was never cleaned or maintained. Long story short, move out day comes. I move out a few days before the 31st, leaving the place cleaner then I'm sure it's ever been. Four months later, I'm still fighting to get my security deposit back. When I finally get someone on the phone, they tell me they already mailed it or it's been mailed and give me a phony tracking number. Now, icing on the cake; I just got a check in the mail, but they deducted $600. $300 for the cleaning fee and $300 for claiming I stayed in the apartment an extra few days after the lease expired. Thankfully, I had proof I didn't stay longer then they claim I did, but the cleaning charge is difficult to dispute. Regardless, these people are scum! Nobody should do buisness with them! more
