Best selection, customer service, and price 9/29/2010

Good: We were greeted and asked to sign in. Then we picked 5 gowns to start so that the salewoman had an idea of what the bride had in mind. Other: Jo, our salesperson, was terrific. She found dresses that were perfect for our petite bride. The owner spoke with us after the purchase. and was absolutely delightful. The dress, simple and elegant was much less expensive than expected. I would recommend this store to anyone without hesitation. more

Terrible Service 6/8/2010

purchased 5 dresses here for a bridal party via the no frills program months before my wedding date. We were given a sizing chart to determine their sizes based on measurements. Most of the girls dresses came in waaay to big. When I called to see if there was something that could be done the sales rep had a terrible attitude. When I brought them down to the store I got the same terrible attitude, FInally they agreed to return it to the designer for an exchange and promised me that the dress would go out to the designer same day and would be back for me to pick it up by the end of the week. When I called to get an update 5 days later it had never been sent out to the designer. At that point my wedding was 3 weeks away. And when I called to get the update they still had a terrible attitude which basically told me that they didin't really care that the wedding was so soon and they were the ones who screwed up. Terrible customer service, terrible products!!!!? more

BEST BRIDAL STORE 10/30/2009

This was the first place I went looking for a dress, and my consultant here spoiled me for all others. Seriously. Sheryl is absolutely fantastic!! I cannot say enough good things about her. I had such fun and such a terrific time trying on dresses with her that when I left I told my friends, "I want to hang out with Sheryl...I want her to be my friend...I want to invite her to my wedding!!" :-) She put me instantly at ease, and I trusted her knowledge of the store's inventory (which can be overwhelming when you're walking along it yourself) and what would be good for me and for the style of my wedding. My advice: please be prepared with pictures of dresses that you like. It helps immensely. If you don't know what you like, how can you expect someone who's never met you before to figure it out at first glance? Based on my pictures and a few questions, Sheryl had a good feel for what I was looking for. Also, come in with a good attitude. This is your wedding -- you should be happy and excited! Be decisive. Don't say every dress is great, because this doesn't help the consultant figure out where to go from there. I knew if a dress was a "contender" or not, and if there was something specific I didn't like about a dress, I would mention it. Also, if you can go on a weekday, do. We were there as soon as they opened on a Thursday, and we were the first ones there. It was not crowded at all. Sheryl made such great choices. I really felt like she was looking to find something that was right for me and my personality. I said I didn't want strapless, and she said she could show me some dresses that were strapless but that they could add straps to them. I liked having that option. There were several dresses I was seriously considering. And they were all within the price range I'd set. Not only that, a lot of them were well below my limit. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a nice dress for less than $3,000 (thanks to the money-hungry bridal industry in general), but I was pleasantly surprised. more

I have recommended RK to every bride I know! 1/3/2008

I was referred to RK bridal by another bride who had a great experience there and mine was no less than perfect! Gilda (my salesperson) was absolutely fabulous and made me feel like a princess the entire time. I was not rushed nor pressured into buying anything. Gilda was very knowledgeable and appreciative that i showed up with many pictures of dresses that were my style...I must admit that i was a little nervous about the alteration process until my final fitting, but the dress fit perfectly and looked gorgeous. I also ordered my bridesmaids' dresses from RK no frills. It was the smartest thing i ever did. It saved them close to $100 each! I have since recommended RK to three brides...one of whom bought the dress of her dreams on her first visit, as did I, and another bride (my sister) will be going in a couple of weeks to look for her wedding gown. I think the only people who are turned off by RK need to be fawned upon and waited on hand and foot....which honestly is the reason i chose RK...unlike other places, they were very honest about what looked good and what didn't (without being snobby about it!)...and my dress looked WAY more expensive than it was...multiple people thought my casablanca was a vera wang..go figure! If i had to do it over again, i wouldn't change a thing!...bravo RK! more

I forgot to mention, RK is a very comfortable atmosphere. There is no one hasseling you or on your back to pick something and the three times I went in I never made an appointment. They have been great so far. If I have any complaints it is that the alterations department is a little hard to get a hold of, but that doesn't damper my RK experience. They're AWESOME!!! more

So far, GREAT experience. 9/26/2007

Hi, I purchased my Alfred Angelo Gown from RK and I had a great experience. Olga assited me the three times I went in and she wasn't pushy at all. She was bery honest and let me know which gowns looked best on me and my gown ended up costing me $400, she did bring me a veil over $200 which I fell in LOVE and didn't compare to the cheaper ones. I am scheduled for my this Friday so I will see how that goes. So far so good though. My gown came in less than 2 weeks after ordering and I just love the atmosphere. more

A Bit Pushy 8/3/2007

They kept trying to push the petticoat on me when I felt I don't need one. The tailors kept speaking in Spanish, which I thought was really rude, since I have no idea what they are saying. One even had the nerve to say that I would look more elegant if I had on a petticoat underneath my gown. That's what she thinks and frankly, I don't care about her unwanted opinion. Don't tell me I'm not elegant enough when I am spending $1200 total on my gown with alterations! The nerve of that woman! When I was looking for a veil, they kept pushing the $200 ones on me when I see there are ones for $60. Please, I'm not falling for that! more

Many people utilize the internet as a venue for accurate research while others as a venue for personal grievance to the world. I assure you that this customer was not pressured to make a purchase, for we do not pressure any customers to purchase anything; it is not the way we run our business In fact, we do not require appointments, and rather encourage walk-ins Customers may sign in if they would like to try on a gown, and if for some reason a customer feels overwhelmed our numerous and qualified sales representatives are always on the floor in order to give assistance With regard to the situation at hand, RK Bridal does indeed make an offer to match any price found elsewhere and also to beat it by five percent This applies to mail order purchases only, as stated on our web site www.rkbridal com. Though the customer stated that she found her dress for less money online, this took place after placing the order, and therefore we will not change our order process In correlation, we will also not take a mail order purchase and then later service (alter, measure, or steam) the gown in the store Averting from an initial ordering policy is not the way we run our business The customer also failed to specify how many times she visited the store in order to try on gowns. She came in at a least three times, possibly more. And though she stated that the gown had been ordered too big, this was not the case; when the gown arrived, it fit just as it should, and the hem was all that needed to be altered. Additionally, the price the customer stated was incorrect The dress was only $865.00 not $1200.The gown was ordered and received by the customer within two weeks. With the many customers we service domestically & internationally, it is enviable that a few may find fault with our services However, approximately 97% of our internet reviews are very positive ones and we plan to keep this kind of customer satisfaction as a main objective when running our business. more

HORRIBLE RK BRIDAL 5/25/2007

RK BRIDAL...HORRIBLE..>WORST EVER...RIP OFF..UPDATE Edit Review? By jillian c. RK BRIDAL was horrible.....A NIGHTMARE...Gilda was a nice salesperson, but they are very pushy...They pressured me into buying my gown. It was exactly what I wanted and they took advantage of that. She pressured me to get it too soon, and when I went home, I found it on HOUSE OF BRIDES.COM for $350.00...when I just bought it from RK BRIDAL for over $1200. Talk about a rip off....I called them immediately because of their no frills, will beat them by 5% policy...well that is only if you didn't purchase it already...they need the info ahead of time...they hadn't even processed order yet and they wouldn't budge....PLus they ordered my dress about 6 sizes too large, and then I found out that the minimum alterations is $350....they order TOO BIG on purpose to make money on the alterations...I will be pissed if the dress looks funny because they have to take it in..I even contemplated cancelling the order, eating the $500 deposit and ordering from houseofbrides, only to find out that if you cancel your order, they still charge the remaining balance of the dress to your credit card....what a RIP OFF...please save yourselves the trouble and go somewhere else...they aren't worth it....I feel horrible that I got taken advantage of. Since I wrote this I have picked up my dress. I had to wait 45minutes to be taken care of, only to find them searching for my dress.. AND IT WAS RIPPED....someone wore it, it was dirty, and the jacket that comes with it was sliced, torn, damaged.... Also I ordered 2 yards of satin fabric, to make a sash, and it wasn't two yards at all, and there were two huge chunks taken out of the fabric, like someone took fabric for a swatch. The owner REED, wasn't helpful and did nothing to rectify the situation. He won't replace the fabric, which they said was going to be $40, and was over $100, or the jacket to the gown. He was RIDICULOUS and NOT GOOD AT CUSTOMER SERVICE OR SATISFACTION. I froze my credit card payment and will not be paying them for the damaged merchandise. They have officially ruined my wedding!!! more

Great Service and Selection! 4/27/2006

After going to many boutique wedding gown shops, I couldn't find anything that (1) was in a style I liked and (2) was flattering on me. So, I decided to try RK Bridal. On my first visit, like another poster said, I was given free reign to try on everything. On my second visit, I met with one of the more "experienced" saleswomen and she looked at the styles I liked and how things were fitting and brought some similar dresses to me that I hadn't even noticed before. She wound up finding my perfect wedding gown! I couldn't be more pleased with the pricing and service of RK Bridal! more

Ordering from a distance was a breeze 4/27/2006

RK Bridal is over a 4-hour drive from where I live, so I placed an order on the phone. I had decided on the dress designer and style, and gotten the measurements of my bridesmaids. When I called they quoted me a very low price, but unfortunately I had gotten a better price elsewhere. When I told them that, they offered to beat it by 5%! Since my wedding is coming up soon, I ordered the dresses as "rush" and they came in 2 weeks earlier than promised. Needless to say, I'm very happy with the service I received from RK Bridal and will continue to recommend them to friends. more

Good experience for something that could be much more stressful 3/20/2006

I ordered my three bridesmaid dresses at RK and the experience was relatively painless. We were in the store with my fiance (who didn't think he needed to be there and may have been right), but just as we were leafing through boring dresses, we saw a woman come out wearing something really cute and funky. We got the dress after she was done - tried it on - and found out that we can customize the colors - ordered the dresses, and before we knew it, they were ready (it takes about 12 weeks, but we did an 8 week rush and they arrived in 6 weeks - I'm sure this is designer-specific). Yay! more

Pretty dresses at pretty prices 9/23/2005

I used R. K. Bridal to order bridesmaid's dresses for my sister's wedding (she was out of the country), and I'll definitely go back to them for my own. R.K. Bridal is a warehouse-type bridal store--you're not going to be fawned over and helped to pick out the dress of your dreams. Instead, you're given free reign to touch and try on hundreds of dresses by many designers. You have to figure out your size (decided upon by evil mathematicians) all by yourself, but if you have a seamstress or a picky friend do your measurements, this shouldn't be a problem. R.K. also takes care of shipping your dresses to out-of-state bridesmaids if need be. Brides and bridesmaids alike are responsible for selecting and ordering the dresses, sizes, and colors desired without help from the staff. In return for this, the dresses are often several hundred dollars cheaper than in other bridal stores, even though they're brand-new/made-to-order. They do have a program where they'll help you every step of the way, but the prices go back up to normal for that. The little extra work on my end was definitely worth the money we saved (and it really wasn't all that difficult--the sizes were the hardest part, but if you use common sense, it's hard to go wrong. Two of the dresses didn't need to be altered at all, and the others required minor hemming and tightening. A coworker who went to a full-service salon was pressured into ordering a dress that turned out to be three sizes too big--they basically had to remake the dress rather than alter it to fit her). more
