The man who came to check it out was very personable 9/6/2013

When we purchased our condo it came with a washer and dryer in the small laundry room. We knew the appliances were dated but they both worked fairly well. If I remember they were both Whirlpool. One day the electric dryer stopped getting hot and I told my wife it was time to go out and replace it. She had used New York Appliance Repair before and decided to call them first. The man who came to check it out was very personable. He looked at the machine and said there was no reason to replace it. It was just an inexpensive heating coil. It has been almost a year and it is still serving us well. more

They sent a freezer repair guy right away and he got my freezer cold again 9/6/2013

New York Appliance Repair came to my rescue the day of my dinner party. My freezer was not keeping everything frozen including the ice. I found New York Appliance Repair on my IPhone. I called them and explained my emergency. They sent a freezer repair guy right away and he got my freezer cold again. Something to do with a coolant leak. I was very pleased with the service. more

I was so happy with the service 9/4/2013

I left my new place on the Bowery in NYC at five PM to pick up dinner a block away. When I arrived back 30 minutes later the entire kitchen floor was flooded. I called the first number I found online which was New York Appliance Repair. The refrigerator repair man came and told me that it was the ice maker hose. It was a simple job to repair and he even cleaned up the water on my floor. I was so happy with the service that I gave him a nice tip which he politely tried to refuse. more

Wonderful appliance repair service 1/12/2012

When I tried to turn my whirlpool oven on one day, it flashed some code and then went entirely blank. I looked online and choose New York Appliance Repair because of the good reviews I found. I have to say, they deserve them. I really wanted the oven repaired as soon as possible but when I called, the girl on the phone said that there were no more appointments available that day. Then she said that she would try to work something out and would call me back within fifteen minutes. She did, and managed to get me an appointment within a few hours. The mechanic they sent over was wonderful as well. He took a look at my oven, and said that the control board needed to be replaced. He had a stock of parts with him and was able to replace the board that same day. My oven was working within 4 hours of calling this company. I’m very happy that I decided to use them. more

The best NYC appliance repair 1/6/2012

I called New York Appliance Repair when my Magic chef oven started beeping and displaying a F1 error code. It got really annoying and I didn’t know how to turn it off. They sent over a repairman named Alex who let me know that I had an issue with the sensor. He said that this wasn’t the most common brand nor problem that they dealt with, so he would need to order the sensor and it would take a few days. However, the next day he gave me a call and said that he located the part in a local appliance parts store, so he could come back and finish the repair that day. My oven now works as well as it did when I just got it. I had a great experience with this company. more

I used NYC APPLIANCE REPAIR when my mothers subzero refrigerator stopped working. Two technicians came over, one was apparently a helper. They seemed to know what the problem would be even before they took a look at the fridge. They told me that I would have to replace the coils and they did that. Sure enough, the fridge started working great again. Everything was quick and efficient which I liked. I would recommend this company to others. more

Best appliance repair company I've ever deal with 12/9/2011

I called NYC appliance repair when my GE stove started malfunctioning. Not all of my burners were working which was frustrating. They sent Max over who quickly figured out which parts of my stove needed to be replaced. It took a few days to get the parts and now my stove is working again. I’d use this company again. more

This was a really great company to work with. I had to change my appointment three times and each time they were accommodating and nice about it. I needed to get my LG dishwasher fixed and they really worked with me on both the appointment times and the price. I’m pleased with the quality of service I received. more

Great refrigerator repair in NYC 7/6/2011

The mechanic, Max, that came over from this company was excellent. My 15 year old GE washing machine stopped working out of the blue. I called another company first and they told me that the parts needed to replace the washing machine were no longer available because that model was no longer sold. They told me that I needed to buy a new one. I then called NYC APPLIANCE REPAIR. The technician came over and agreed that the parts were unavailable but somehow managed to find comparable parts that made my machine work. I didn’t have to get a new washer because of this company, and I am very grateful. more

A+ appliance repair 6/1/2011

When the display on my LG oven stopped working I called New York Appliance Repair. I was really scared that the display not working was really part of some bigger problem that I hadn’t noticed yet. The repairman came over and completely checked my oven to make sure everything was working properly. He even explained what he was checking for so I would understand more about how ovens worked. At the end he found that the problem was only with the display, which he fixed quickly. This company has really great customer service, I would call them again if any of my appliances break. more

Great appliance repair company 5/3/2011

My GE profile refrigerator stopped working. The freezer section was fine, but the fresh food part was far too warm. My food started spoiling and I didn’t know what to do so I called New York APPLIANCE REPAIR. I explained to them what they problem was. They came over with a set of replacement parts that could fix the problem. Luckily, when they isolated the problem, they had the correct part with them. And before all my food really spoiled I had a working refrigerator, which has not given me any problems since. more

Incredible service!!! 5/2/2011

My wife tried to take the wash out of our machine, but found the machine still filled with water, even though the cycle was done. I went online and scheduled a service call with New York Appliance Repair. The technician came over and told me that this was one of the most common problems with a washing machine. He knew exactly what to do and it took him no time at all to complete the repair. He restarted the washer with the clothes and they went through all the cycles from the beginning. He stayed to make sure the machine was really working. I was very impressed by the service, and will definitely call them again. more

Excellent appliance repair service 4/25/2011

As the maintenance supervisor of a large apartment building, I call New York Appliance Repair every time there is a problem with a machine or dryer in one of our several laundry rooms. They come out the same day and always have the parts they need to do the job and keep out tenants happy. If a job is not done in a timely manner, it is always my responsibility. With New York Appliance Repair that never happens. I would recommend them to anyone. more

Outstanding service! 4/18/2011

One day we notice a strong stench in the kitchen. After sniffing around, I opened the dishwasher and was almost bowled over by the smell. There was some putrid water that was in the bottom of the unit and it was more than I could deal with. I looked online and searched “appliance repair new york” and found New York Appliance Repair. They came over and said that the problem was with the drain and not the dishwasher. Because it lower than the sink, the water was backing up into it. He cleared out the drain and everything has been fine since then. I’m very pleased with the quality of service I received from this company. more

Efficient refrigerator repair in NY 3/30/2010

My Amana refrigerator started and stopped frequently . I had to call Apple Refrigerator Repair for help. When they tested , it appeared that the compressor relay needed to be replaced. The serviceman from Apple returned next day w/ a new relay and replaced it for me quickly and efficiently. The fridge works - no problem. Highly reccommend this service. more

Honest repairman from Apple 3/4/2010

When my 2 year old GE Profile refrigerator broke, I called Apple Refrigerator Repair. The technician diagnosed that the computer has to be replaced in my fridge. He told me actually that the manufacturer recalled some of the models because the computer parts were defective. In fact , one of his previous customers recieved the computer part from manufacturer for free. I used his advice and did the same thing. As a result I 've got the new computer part for free and paid to Apple Refrigerator Repair for part rep[lacement only! Thanks so much for saving my money! more
