I've both eaten in and taken out from Our Place. Great proximity to my apartment, but boy, it's one of the most expensive Chinese places in the area, and it just ain't worth the money. Food is VERY oily, it's so oily it basically drowns out all the taste. For takeout, you'll be glad to have plenty of leftovers, but you might never want to eat them. You can do better. more

One of the better Chinese 10/5/2005

This is certainly one of the better Chinese in New York. The decor is nice without being a "theme" scene. Food is fresh - not overloaded with sugar and oil. Lots of variety from the basics to some more creative dishes. Food is always of top quality - you'll pay more than at others places but it's well worth it. more

this upper east side chinese wonder is the best chinese food around. The Peking Duck is to die for if you were to ask my opinion. Also notable is the bird's nest, a potato basket filled with succulent seafood, great vegetables, and a nice sauce. They are extreme friendly as well. It is a bit pricy, but for the level and quality of both food and service, who would mind? I don't and I hope that you will not mind either. more

Better than Average Chinese 8/15/2005

This Chinese on 3rd in the 80s is better than most. Good flavor, some interesting dishes. Not your run of the mill take out factory (although they do take away). I like their soups and tangerine beef. The standard fare (chicken with brocollie, etc. is good too). Good zagat rating. more
