Feel down or sad? just get there, sit back, relax and come back home as happy as you should be!

I went to see some karaoke singing with friends last Thursday, and a couple of the performers blew my mind. So, since it's a comedy place, I went back last night, Saturday. The ...

Funny but 8/10/2005

The Wendy Williams Comedy show was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Capone, the gangster of comedy, is hilarious. My complaint is with the food service. ""The House of Plenty"" caters to the club - trying to get a plate of food was an exercise in futility. The guy who takes your order and money was having a bad day. I went up 3 times to place an order and was *ignored* each time. The food looked good..... more

Not Free, but a Great Value 7/6/2005

This wasn't my first comedy club experience. I've been put on guest lists, gotten ""admission"" deals, etc. Point is, the Laugh Factory was among the few clubs I've paid full price plus a 2 drink minimum for and it was worth every penny! I've been back too. For the virgin to the comedy club scene I suggest a regular show on Friday or Sat night. But for the regular comedy club goer who thinks they've experienced it all, you must see Wendy Williams show! Take my advice, you won't be sorry. Pros: booze not ice in cups, parking lot in back, oh yeah, hillarious! Cons: get there early more

Best club in the city! 7/2/2005

I couldn't believe it when I got talked into going to Times Square on a Saturday night to see a bunch of unknown comics. But I was more amazed when I nearly injured myself laughing so hard. I have been back twice and have to say I'm a little addicted. The regular MC is a handsome charmer named Bill Dawes (who I saw on ""One Life to Live"") and he was just as funny as the headliners! It's also the nicest looking comedy club I've ever been inside. Treat yourself and give this place a try! more

bar or comedy? -- do both! 6/23/2005

As a 20-something year old living in Manhattan I'm on a fixed budget to say the least. Right now my kitchen stores a 1/2 bottle of ketchup, ramen noodles, dorritos and 3 beers. So when my friends decided they wanted to do something other than the typical weekend dive-bar-crawl, I was a little weary. Turns out the the Laugh Factory isn't a bad deal. First, I had a discount card, so that knocked some cash off the admission. 2 drink minimum - No problem (I already mentioned the beer in my fridge). By the end of the night, I spent less going to the Laugh Factory than I would have at the bars. Plus, I got to see a show! Joe Materesse was my fav comedian that night. I def suggest you check it out. Pros: great value drinks, funny show, clean bathroom Cons: line to get in, line to get out, last call is too soon more

awful week at ended in smiles 6/19/2005

I'm not much of a comedy club person. That is to say, I never before considered a comedy club for an evening's entertainment. But a few weeks ago I was having the most awful week at work. My Honey-Bunny saw my bad mood and in attempt to avoid my glare, he took me to the laugh factory. I'd say by the time the first comic went on-stage my mood already started to improve. And by the end of the night I had completely forgotten about my bozo-boss and was able to enjoy the rest of my weekend. Pros: great energy, good value more

I'm still laughing 6/14/2005

I saw Kathy Griffin at the Laugh Factory in March and I'm still laughing. Kathy is brilliant. She's like a younger Joan Rivers, only without Melissa. We had such a good time that me and my friends still tell stories from her show like we were there! Silly, I know. I don't generally see comedy shows, but the next time I'm in New York I'm coming to the Laugh Factory! Pros: hillarious, topical, celebrity sitings more

Laugh Factory 2 thumbs up!!! 5/9/2004

Wed. night the Wendy Williams show was so hilarious! I'll definitely go back next time I'm in town. Pros: fast service, stout drinks, hilarious more
