Exceptional 1/27/2005

I found the Little Hair Shoppe through the help of Citysearch, and what a find! I had my haircut by Beau who translated the look I wanted to suit my face and personality. The staff was warm and friendly, and the salon emanates good karma. It's been years since I've had such a transforming haircut! I feel like a new me. If your looking for somebody you can trust and has talent, this is the place! more

Petra's a Genius 1/26/2005

I was having a really bad hair day. I thought I would try this new hair salon called ""The Little Hair Shoppe"". Great! Everyone has wonderful personalities and most of all, artistic talent. Petra did my hair wonderfully and I walked out looking like I walked out of the cover of ""Cosmo Politan""! Extremely talented staff and the best service. Not too expensive either considering the outcome. Number One;everyone should go there. ""The Little Hair Shoppe"" is truly the best hair salon! Fussy guy!! 1/11/2005

I usually go to a barber..However,my barber has been out of town and I needed my hair cut!!I asked my sister where I should go!!She recommended this place... I have to say for my first experience at a salon..It was really good!!My hair is tuff to cut and I am really fussy about my hair..Tracy did a great job..I was impressed she could do better work them my barber..Also she is better to look at then him!!Tracy nice job and you have a great tattoo!! more

Great Place!! 1/11/2005

I have lived in NYC my whole life!!I have been to a lot of ""ok places""..I am really fussy and not really happy with any of the end resluts...Then I came to the little hair shoppe and meet Tracy!! I was happy with the result right away!!I couldn't believe it was exactly what I wanted!! Tracy was fun and the staff is really sweet!!Its a place where the is no ego's just friend having a good time and doing great hair!!You guys have a client for life..I can't believe it took me over 20 years to find a great hair place!!Thanks again Pros: Tracy's great!! more

I have been visiting the city from San fran...One night I got a little crazy and bought some hair color...I didn't think it would end up in the biggest hair color disaster..I've ever done.. My hair is dark and I wanted to lighten it up a shade or two..Well my hair turned bright orange!!It wasn't the color,I wanted at all!!!My freind Tayna recommend Tracy...So I went...I have to say I am so gald I did...Tracy fixxed my hair color to the color I wanted..I am so happy with the results!!!Thanks again Tracy!!I will travel cross country to get my hair done!!! more

about a week ago, i got a haircut that immediately started working for me. the girl who cut my hair asked how i wanted it, i answered: make it short, make it funky, make it sexy. she spent thirty seconds studying my head, and maybe twenty minutes chopping away all fancy-like at my hair. and PRESTO. four hours later im getting looks at bars in the LES ive never gotten from women before. happy new year to me. more

Best Hair cut EVER! 1/9/2005

I cannot say enough good things about The Little Hair Shoppe. I'm from NC but my boyfriend lives in Manhattan, so I visit all the time. When the salon I normally use couldn't accomodate me I found The Little Hair Shoppe on City Search. Kritsin gave me a sassy 'do' I was exstatic about! And the colorist gave me a free consultation on my color. The people were so friendly and talented, I may have to fly up from NC every time I need a hair cut! more

What a gem of a hairdresser. Friendly and efficient staff in a bright and welcoming space. Bo gave me a great haircut with lots of advice and interesting conversation thrown in! Prices are also very reasonable- great set up. more

great place 12/29/2004

Went there based on the reviews I read on here. I have coarse, unruly hair and have gotten some terrible cuts. NOT THIS TIME!!! Beau cut my hair in a way that has made it very easy to style and colored it great! The place has a very friendly atmosphere and everyone has a smile on their face....no attitude! I will definitely go back and recommend to anyone who enjoys going to a place where you are treated well and get great service! more

I overcame my skepticism and made an appointment based solely on the citysearch reviews--and I'm very glad I did. I cut 20"" off my hair this summer and have undergone a series of bad haircuts since. Petra is fantastic with short hair. She told me upfront exactly what she was going to do, and it came out as promised--with a hefty student discount, no less! I will definitely be back. If you like chatting with friends over some coffee, hot chocolate or tea while getting ""beautified"", then this is the place to come to. Skilled, knowledgable, and endearing stylists make you feel right at home upon entrance. High-end style for an unbelievable inexpensive price, 7 days a week. I've been going to the Little Hair Shoppe for 2 years now and never think of going anywhere else. Beau cuts and colors my hair and I am always extremely happy with the results. Even a month after my haircut, I continue to get compliments. The atmosphere in the salon is friendly and relaxed, but still professional. Beau really takes the time to evaluate my hair and if I have a specific style in mind, he makes it work for my hair type. Don't hesitate to try this place and ask for Beau! I just moved here from the mid-west..I was scared to get my hair done here in Nyc..I've been seeing the same hair dresser for 10 years back home..I looked on city search and saw the rating for this shop..I decided to go..I was hooked up with Tracy for my cut and color.. she made me feel really comfortable and my hair looked soooo good after she was done....I feel so sexy and alive again... Tracy you are a hair goddess!!!! I love this shop!! so happy -- beautiful work 11/30/2004

I had my hair done here today and I am so happy with the results. This was my first time here. I wanted to go from really light to really dark haircolor with some highlights on top. Beau did the work and managed to give me results that looked even better than the picture I had brought in. Petra cut my hair. I was not in for a huge change -- just a light trim. And even her ideas on modifying the shape a bit while maintaining length was a huge and surprising improvement. Everyone was very nice and informative about what they were doing and about what I should do to maintain and style my hair. Stop wasting your money elsewhere. This place is a real find.
