I live in Montreal, and am a PROUD eater of Poutine (from time to time of course. The great thing with it, is moderation. This way it'll always be a wonderful treat!). Montreal in our back yard!!!! 7/23/2009

This is amazing. I used to travel to Montreal for work all the time, and I discovered this dish called poutine. French fries, covered in cheese, w/ gravy...you can add chicken, steak, whatever you want. It's unreal. NOW, it's in NYC! This is the best hangover cure, eat before you drink meal, sunday funday meal, anytime meal. Check it out. T-Poutine is legit. Pros: Holy tasty!!! Cons: Just one location more

Editorial
  • Model-actor-Canadian Thierry Pepin envisions this as the first of many restaurants serving poutine, or what he calls a “potato fantasy experience” and what we’ll call “fries loaded with stuff.” Regular or sweet potato fries come smothered with cheddar cheese curds (shipped in fresh from upstate), mushrooms, peppers, onions and veggie gravy in The Treehugger, or with bacon, curds, gravy and an egg served sunny-side up in The Morning Glory, among other choices. Though fries are the main draw, burger choices range from bison to salmon to veggie and traditional beef. The space has a hip, modern look with counters and silver stools, but its tiny square footage means you might want to get your poutine to-go.
