After a particularly stressful month, I googled local massage places, thought this sounded alright, stopped by at around 3 pm on a friday afternoon and was taken right in. I said: "half hour massage." The woman nodded and took me into a side room. I think I might have been the only person in the place so even though I was a little creeped out by the sheer curtains and the massage chairs (were the towels new??) my back hurt like hell and I was willing to try it out.
and yeah, it is as good as everyone says. I've had multiple massages in my life, all of which I had my own room and clean towels and don't require stumbling around in the dark, but none of which were under $100, and this was hands down the best massage EVER. it was so good that I went into a total daze of happiness and deep tissue massaging and totally lost track of time -- the woman got ALL my pressure points, exactly what I asked for, perfect.
So, why 3 stars? because at the end of my massage, I went up to pay, and the lady said $79. But, I said, the sign outside said a half an hour massage was something like $35? Well, it turns out that my half an hour massage had become an hour and a half massage. I was twenty minutes late for a doctor's appointment, and I paid double what I had expected.
But I am 100% planning on going back because the massage was so good. and when I do, i'm gonna bring my own towels and pillows, will be super duper clear about the time I want (maybe "thirty minutes" is better to say than a half hour). if the massage is just a good as before, this rating will be changed to a 5 star for sure!!
Pros: so cheap, best massage ever
Cons: language barriers lead to awkward issues
