Magic fingers are amazing! No wonder ny post recommended the 2/15/2011

First of all, they have been serving upper west for almost 10 years, if they r not qualified why do they still here ? I have been going there for almost 3 years, I have to say that they r amazing. Secondly, I remebered that ny post featured them also last year december, can't really remeber the date, but yeah. Most importanly it's almost impossible to find a place that is not expensive but can still provide excellent service. Well magic fingers is one of the few places in the city who's affordable, and provids excellent services! People should try their full body (1hr30mins) massage. Totally fab. more

Five star massage, minus two stars for awkwardness 3/15/2010

After a particularly stressful month, I googled local massage places, thought this sounded alright, stopped by at around 3 pm on a friday afternoon and was taken right in. I said: "half hour massage." The woman nodded and took me into a side room. I think I might have been the only person in the place so even though I was a little creeped out by the sheer curtains and the massage chairs (were the towels new??) my back hurt like hell and I was willing to try it out. and yeah, it is as good as everyone says. I've had multiple massages in my life, all of which I had my own room and clean towels and don't require stumbling around in the dark, but none of which were under $100, and this was hands down the best massage EVER. it was so good that I went into a total daze of happiness and deep tissue massaging and totally lost track of time -- the woman got ALL my pressure points, exactly what I asked for, perfect. So, why 3 stars? because at the end of my massage, I went up to pay, and the lady said $79. But, I said, the sign outside said a half an hour massage was something like $35? Well, it turns out that my half an hour massage had become an hour and a half massage. I was twenty minutes late for a doctor's appointment, and I paid double what I had expected. But I am 100% planning on going back because the massage was so good. and when I do, i'm gonna bring my own towels and pillows, will be super duper clear about the time I want (maybe "thirty minutes" is better to say than a half hour). if the massage is just a good as before, this rating will be changed to a 5 star for sure!! Pros: so cheap, best massage ever Cons: language barriers lead to awkward issues more

Best in upper westside 6/6/2009

Super magic fingers is one of the best in upper westside. They have the best skills of massages like swedish, acupressure, acupuncture( really good for students who need to take sat or some other tests, acupuncture can really help you to concentrate, at least it works for me). Anyway... one hour massage is only 48 bucks which is really rare. I just like to go there . Pros: price, skills, location, service Cons: space more

Tension Busting, Not Bank Breaking 4/15/2009

I've had several massages here with either Susan or Annie and they both work fairly deep. I used to get massages at the Equinox regularly before the nearest location closed for renovation and I have to say, while Equinox was a lot "nicer", the therapists here are just as good as some of their better ones and definitely better than some of their worst ones. This also leaves a lot more $$ left over for other things. Comes to about a buck a minute including tip. There are curtains separating customers and if you don't go during "peak" time, there is not always someone next to you. They have a frequent visitors card but they do not really advertise that fact. I had to ask for it the second time I went . Pros: convenient location, really affordable Cons: no frills setting more

Best in the upper westside 10/30/2008

I have been to a lot of spa, but this one is the best in the upper westside. Not like some other asian masseurs, they are really professional. Although the place is kind of small, I still like to go there. haha anyway, I just love to go there every week. I think super magic fingers is a good place to relax. Pros: Skills, staff, location, price Cons: space more

Amazing!!!!! 10/15/2008

That's really a nice place for massage. I come from japanese. I have been so much massage stores. They gave me the best feelling of all, although the store is not so big and gorgeous like a beauty centre, I will go there again with my friends. She's always tired from her work. That'll be a good place for her to relax. Pros: good skills, cheap rates, Cons: small place, more

Some of them are really great! 10/15/2008

I think they are great, it's depends on how you define a great massage is. If you want to spend less than 50 dollars meanwhile getting good massages, I think they do the best job in upper westside, I almost tried every employeers there, some of them are really nice. Pros: skills Cons: space more

Really enjoyable 10/1/2008

I was hesitant to try this place because I read the reviews and it didn't seem like a great place. However, I went anyway because it is so cheap and in my neighborhood. I loved my massage. I got a 60 minute full body massage and it was so nice. I get horrible tension headaches and went in with a lot of knots and stress and I feel fantastic now. The only downsides were that the door to my room was just a thin curtain so I felt a little exposed, and since the walls don't go all the way to the ceiling I could hear my neighbor's cell phone conversation. Other than that, the massage was really well done and relaxing. I will be going back! Pros: Great massage, nice staff, cheap Cons: Short walls and thin curtains as doors make privacy a little hard more

A very mediocre massage, they should be paying you for practice 9/15/2008

If you look below at the 5-star reviews, you'll notice that they are all written in the barely comprehensible english of this business's employees. Citysearch needs to do a better job of policing these reviews. Anyway the massage here consists of some squeezing and rubbing and its very clear that none of the current employees actually have any formal massage training. It's a very mediocre experience. Cons: untrained staff, fake reviews on citysearch more

They are so great. As we all know , normally we should pay 55 bucks for one hour massage in eastside, but here in super magic fingers u only need to pay 48, the most important thing is they did a better job than the other massage place i have been to........ anyway , they are just great . I think u guys should try Amy , Linda or Jessie , all of them are great . haha Pros: skills ,price, attitude Cons: they are kind of busy on weekends , sometimes have to wait for the free table more

AMAZING!!!! 3/24/2008

They are phenomenal ! I am highly suggest you guys try Amy, Linda , and Ying. I have tried all of them. All of them are great. They can fix the pain of your body, and if u want soft&relax, they can also make u feel comfortable. ( just need to tell them). whatever. It's a good place to go. Super magic fingers is super hot right now , you'd better make an appointment first. Pros: Thumbs up Cons: Thumbs up more

a good place for massage 3/24/2008

They are absolutely great , their skills of massage are one of the best in upper westside. I used to try a lot of massage place, then I found super magic fingers is better. Pros: Thumbs up Cons: Thumbs up more

terrible!!! 2/5/2008

I don't understand what everyone is talking about....this place is SUCH a dissapointment. Have gone twice now because I thought the first time was just a fluke. I was expecting a no-frills place that gave a good, cheap massage. I did not expect to find this tiny, dirty (seriously the mildew smell was beyond and I am not convinced the sheets were clean) place with sub-par massages. During my first massage I had someone literally changed places with someone else in the middle of the massage, which I found weird and somewhat disconcerting. The massage itself was bad, but at least not painful. The second time it was literally like someone was rubbing my skin back and forth (and I'm not someone that needs deep tissue work) and then would push on my spine. Left unsatisfied, with a headache...total rip off. more

WORST MASSAGE EVER 1/17/2008

I went here a while ago, and it was AWFUL. Forget bare bones, the therapists, IF they were even legally licensed, couldn't communicate with me other than to take my payment. I don't believe the woman who worked on me even spoke english. When I tried to tell her what I wanted her to work on she shushed me, despite being the only person in the room with her. I tried AGAIN to tell her what I wanted her to do, and again she shushed me, and went to work, and it was just awful - she used lotion that I could have bought at the corner drugstore, not oil, and when she was finished I felt as awful, if not worse than when I walked in. I would STAY AWAY from this place. Pros: cheap Cons: everything else you can think of more

  • In Short
The quarters of this bare-bones massage parlor are so tight that it could be housed in the foyer of an apartment--and the front desk literally is. One tiny offset room contains just three tables separated by curtains. The no-frills attitude continues in the straightforward service menu--back and face massages in 10-, 30-, 45-, and 60-minute time increments, and foot reflexology for 20 or 40 minutes--and the local clientele can't help but book them for their affordability.
