Best Spa Anywhere 10/16/2006

I lost 20lbs And 15 inches off each thigh. I lost 12 inches everywhere else in 2 months! My muscles are stronger due to stimulation and therapy, Say goodbye to water retention, bloating, aches and pains' Dreamy Spa Ja will ease them all away. I like that it's not pushy or pretentious, I love the attitude and especially the care. I wanted to tan safely and chose the infinity bed at Spa Ja After popping in a few times I decided to get some advice, I went for a consultation and embarked on a routine that shrinks, sculpts and detoxifies. Both Alexandra and Mabel know how to make the body well again. (if your lucky enough to appoint this duo do it! ) The boutique is adorable and inspiring; I found the naturally fragrant creams, lotions, soaps and oils, are calming, cleansing, soothing and have definitely improved the quality of my skin. If youre looking to change your body, feel better and get well again, then Giovanna and James will make sure that you do. STANDING OVATION!!! 10/15/2006

It was my 60th birthday my family gave me a Spa Ja gift certificate. The moment i walked in, it was such a feel good sensation. I had everything you can imagine, Brazilian mani-pedi, facial, hydrotherapy, scrub, detox, massage. I have been to many spas around the world, every service here was outstanding, as was the staff the kindness, warmist. Spa Ja you have won my heart. Thank you. more

Spaja is an oasis! 10/14/2006

What a fantastic experience! You must check out this gorgeous spa with an amazing decor and a heavenly welcome: fresh brewed tea & berriesyum!! I went to Spaja desperate. I spent 2 weeks traveling in Mexico and my skin was a fright! I am a film and theatre actress and in 2 weeks was scheduled to shoot the first scenes of my new movie but my face was a mess! Well Spaja changed that! (Ask for EKKA) Their wonderful facial products and very sophisticated techniques left my skin clear, light and gorgeous, not to mention totally relaxed which to me is the secret of real beauty. I noticed they had other great services like massage and tanning...oooh and so many books on beauty for sale....I love this place! They will definitely breathe the beauty back into you!! more

I've decided to try it after seeing them on tv, and it turned out to be one of the best choices of my life:) Words like awesome, outstanding, amazing come to mind when thinking about Spa Ja. I've tried too many esteticians over the years, looking for the perfect one. Finally my luck has changed when I found Veronica. She indeed is the best. If you're looking for the best facial of your life, Spa Ja is the place to go, and Veronica is absolutely amazing. Not to mention that the place is gorgeous, the prices are extremely decent, the very friendly and polite staff and their amazing selection of organic products. It's definitelly a must-see-enjoy and come-back-for-more place!!!!!!!! Pros: ambience, technology, organic products Cons: none more

The ORGANIC FACIAL i havd with Veronica, was the best facial i have ever had. After the facial i decided to have the EYELASH EXTENSION - long term (one by one) with her. She is amazing!!! I can"t beleive how natural they look. I am thrilled !!! SPA JA has won a client forever. more

I have received laser treatments at Spa Ja and I was very pleased. At first I was hesitant because as an African American our skin has to be treated differently. The treatments have be very effective. Ask for Roxanne, she's awsome! more

A wonderful serene oasis 6/4/2006

I travel for business a great deal therefore my stress level is enormous. In order to rejuvenate myself I set aside one day a month for treatments at Spa Ja. The professional staff and the pristine atmosphere I've found to be unequaled. The massage with hot stones melts away aches and tension-wonderful The facial produces marvelous results. l As for the waxing ---- when they say Brazilian waxing is the best it really is true. Before beginning the technician took the time to analyse my skin conditon (I had a huge problem with ingrown hairs that has since been corrected) The mani/pedi again is done with the skill that only the Brazilians seem to master. If I didn't have my day at Spa Ja I could never keep up with my hectic life style. I highly recommend Spa Ja as a true oasis in an urban jungle. Pros: professional, pristine, caring more

Roxana is one of the most experience Laser Hair Removal Technicians and Esthetician in New York City. I did my research very carefully on Laser Hair Removal before deciding on Spa Ja. Roxana made me feel very comfortable, she explains the procedures in details, after just 3 treatments of Laser Hair Removal, I see huge differences. With Roxanas background in Esthetician also, she recommended treatments for my face and how to care for my face and skin, even how to apply make-up. I got a lot of good advises from her, I totally trust her recommendations. I had facials and a Microdermabrasion treatments from Roxana, I can say, my face is glowing and smooth. more

What a Great Place!!!! 5/17/2006

On a recent trip to NYC I accompanied a friend to Spa Ja. What a treat! I started with Oceana 5 hydrotherapy that is the most soothing and restorative treatment ever. I left totally de-stressed. I then had micro-dermabrasion and a Brazilian facial that left my sun damaged skin amazingly smooth and fresh. On to the Brazilian mani/pedi. Truely the best ever. I appreciated the care taken in helping me select face care products for my particular needs. They have a wide array of organic products not found elsewhere. As a very satisfied customer of Spa Ja I'dlike to respond to the very negative and, think, suspious review below. Wondering if there was an ulterior motive ????? I too, am having laser hair removal with Roxana and am thrilled with the results. She is the most experiened technician I've encountered (and I live most of the time in Plam Beach the home of great Spas). No longer do i dread a day at the beach. Excellent Laser Treatment! Relaxing environment! 5/15/2006

I get my laser treatment done by Roxanna who clearly knows what she is doing. Roxanna promptly answered all my questions, and explained the procedure to me in details. Roxanna also gives me extra insight about laser and other beauty treatments. I must admit I was a bit nervous at first since I never had laser treatment done before, but after talking to her and realizing how knowledgeable Roxanna is about laser and various other beauty treatments I was convinced that I was in good hands. She has been my laser go to girl for all my 5 treatments and so far I have no complains. I would recommend Roxanna to anyone. In addition the environment at Spa Ja is so welcoming and relaxing. James and Giovanna make you feel at home. Over all I would recommend Spa Ja to anyone who likes to be treated by true professionals. Pros: Knowledgeable staff, Evening Appointments, Fair Prices more

Spa Nein!!!! 5/12/2006

I went to Spa Ja, result is simply Spa Nein. After reading all the reviews about their technicians, I thought I would have been impressed. However, their laser seems to be quite strange and much different from all the other consultations I went to. Their pricing was fair but their knowledge of skin is quite low. I asked the technician about some technical information about the laser but she was hesitant to answer my questions. I had a slight tan but apparently they are not able to treat my bikini, even though I was not in the sun for over 2 months !! In fact, she was not comfortable with my questions so I took the information and left. It might be a good spa, but appearently they are not a place for laser hair removal. Because I had really professional consultations at other places. Cons: Inexperienced, Unskilled, Not their speciality more

My experience at Spa Ja was excellent! The staff are courteous and skilled, the atmosphere is pleasant, and services are phenomenal! I highly recommend the oxygen facial. Despite the fact that Flor, my beautician, was really "working" my face, I left the spa looking radiant, and NOT RED! One word of advice...get to your appointment on time; otherwise, you will leave the person after you a little peeved because Spa Ja will not rush through your beauty treatments. Spa Ja is truly a world apart! The quality of their treatment and the professionalism of their staff is unsurpassed. The manicure and pedicure are excellent;the message with heated stonesan "out of this world experience" and the facials aer pure bliss. Everyone is so welcoming and nurturing I feel as though I'm apart of a wonderful extended family whose only concernis my wellbeing. Unfortunately for me, I don't visit NY often enough so I always leave with a supply of face products, body soaps and gels and househols sprays. All organic and, as they come from four corners of the EARTH, not available to me anywhere else. I CAN NOT be without them. Never change Spa Ja! more

A wonderful experience from start to finish. 4/2/2006

My first review but with such an excellent experience at Spa Ja had to share it with others. During business trip SpaJa came highly recommended by the Staff at the American Express Platinum Concierge and as usual their advice was excellent! Staff accommodated next day appointment. Initial greeting aroma and atmosphere was conducive to serene relaxation. My wife truely enjoyed her deep tissue massage "one of the best ever!" (she is something a spa connoisseur, having experienced many great spas in the US, Hawaii and other parts of the world.) I later joined her for a gentleman's Brazilian pedicure and could not believe how good my feet felt after this. The Spa Ja staff were professional, friendly and extremely good at what they do! The refreshments were delicious. The Spa was the icing on the cake for an already good trip. Cannot wait for our next visit to NY. Pros: reasonalbly priced, friendly staff, evening hours Cons: cannot think of any more

I'm Hooked! 3/27/2006

On a recent visit to NYC, at the urging of friends, I booked a morning of treatments at Spa Ja. WHAT A TREAT! The staff are knowledgable and at the same time nurturing. They seemed to sense my every need. The massage with heated stones was so totally relaxing that I drifted on to the Oceana 5 hydortherapy room in a trance. This was a new experience for me and a true delight. My aches and Pains melted away and my throat seemd to be cleared from the remanents of a winter cold. I then went on to have a Facial with eyebrow shaping and tinting. (the trickiest of procedures, I have found). I was thrilled with the results. the Brazilian mani/pedi (with their wide array of polishes) more than lived up to my, by then ,high expectations. I'm Hooked! more
