Went for a dinner party here last week. Food was good but not memorable. Wines were nice. We averaged maybe 4-5 plates and about 3 glasses of wine each. $85 per person ! Wow..I me...

Great Food at a Reasonable Price 11/4/2007

The food here is really unique and has a ton of flavor. Prices don't break the bank and the level of service is very good for such a small restaurant. Space is very intimate, but there were also a couple of larger groups. don't skip out on the chocolate cake for dessert. Pros: Flavors, Pricing Cons: Fills Up Quickly more

Great for Dates and Groups 10/30/2007

Had my wife's surprise 35th birthday here last week and they did an awesome job. Meal was plentiful and we got a special wine pricing option that basically allowed us an open wine bar for the duration of the meal. The service was very professional and made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant even though there were a bunch of people on dates. For a party of 10, the meal ran about $700 including tip and we were full and borderline drunk when we left. Due to the hospitable staff and tasty food, we are actual having our Thanksgiving dinner here and renting out the entire restaurant. more

Park Ave prices in LES? 10/30/2007

Went for a dinner party here last week. Food was good but not memorable. Wines were nice. We averaged maybe 4-5 plates and about 3 glasses of wine each. $85 per person ! Wow..I mean I've paid this before but at really upscale restaurants. I can't say I will go back anytime soon nor would I highly recommend it for a party. Pros: nice atmosphere Cons: overpriced to the max more

Great Date Place 10/23/2007

Couldn't get a reservation here last Saturday night, but decided to walk in for a big date I had. The staff was gracious and the wait was only about 20 minutes, even though they said it would be half an hour. Once seated we were well taken care of and got to try a bunch of fun wines and 5-6 unique plates. The music was great and we enjoyed all aspects of the evening. Highly recommended for a date. Pros: Food, Wine, Service, Music Cons: Not Many Reservations Available more

Awesome Food - Great for Groups Too 10/12/2007

I have been here a couple of times since they opened, as I live in the area and decided to see if they could host my girlfriend's 30th birthday last week. They did not dissappoint. The food was as good and as flavorful for our party of 10, as if there were only 2 of us dining. You have to go off of a pre-selected menu, but the portions are great and the price is very reasonable. We even got a discount by picking out wines before-hand. Very attentive service and the crowd is cool, not young annoying kids like you sometimes get on the LES. Highly recommended. Pros: Food, Wine, Service Cons: Small Space more

Awesome Wines - Free Bottle on Monday Nite 10/7/2007

Ate here last Monday night and really enjoyed the food. It is flavorful, but not overpowering. Apparently they give away a second bottle of wine every Monday nite if you eat dinner. The service was attentive and polite. Will defintely be back soon. Pros: FREE WINE! Cons: Small space more

They Rocked It 9/26/2007

Went to a friends bday party for a group of 10 last week and these guys rocked it. Food was tasty and abundant. Our water and wine were always full. The music was great and the place had a fun vibe. Definitely recommend it for a celebration or even a date (the rest of the room was couples). Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

Good Looking, Fun People 9/21/2007

I have been here a couple of times and there is always a fun, good looking crowd, not to mention the great food. The server usually remembers what wine I drank last time and is able to make suggestions for new things to try. The place is small, so we usually end up talking to the table next to us and having a super time. It has become my favorite neighborhood place on the LES. more

Great Date Place 9/19/2007

Girlfriend and I went for dinner last week and had a great time. The place is romantic, but also has a good energy to it (music is fun and varied). We tried 4 or 5 different dishes and especially loved the rice ball and empanadas. Server was always available, but not in your face. We got there on the early side 6:30 or 7 and it started filling up soon after we finished our second course. All the wines we tried were tasty and well priced. Pros: Decor, Ambience Cons: None that I can Remember more

Great Service, Cool vibe 9/10/2007

Really had a fun time here on a Friday night. The place was busy, but we were well taken care of. The server didn't try to oversell us on many dishes as some tapas places do. 5 was more than enough for 2 people and they were less expensive and more filling than a lot of small plates restaurants. Tried some great wines that I was not familiar with, but they brought us tastes of everything we were unsure of. Ceviche was great and so was Chicken Dish. Had a really interesting spicy dessert that was stuffed in an roasted pepper. Perfect place for a date. Pros: Food, Flavors, Wine Cons: Fills up Very Quickly on Weekends more

Really Fun Food and Attentive Service 9/6/2007

Tried this place based on great recommendations and my group loved it. The food is fun and easy to share. Unlike many tapas places, you actually get full for a reasonable amount - take the waiter's recommendations on what to order, quantity, etc. The wine list is pretty reasonably priced as well. They fill up quickly, but you never feel neglected, as the staff is always attentive and present. Get there early or you might night get in because I think they only have 25 seats. more

Pleasantly Suprised 9/6/2007

Tried this place on a recommendation from a friend this past weekend and we had a great time. I usually go to larger, more established restaurants, but the space had a real charm and the menu looked interesting to say the least. I do not consider myself a particularly adventurous diner, but we loved the cod falafel and the savory pear dish, as well as everything else we had. I was not overly familiar with the wines they offered, but all were impressively described by the waiter. I would definitely recommend the restaurant for somebody who likes professional service, but is looking for a more casual environment. Pros: Pricing, Food, Service Cons: Small space, fills up quickly more

Hospitality at its Best 9/5/2007

I am normally not the type to write these types of reviews, as I am pretty lazy, but I had such a great time at this spot that I feel compelled. The food is unique and fun, especially the cod dish and the serrano ham rolls. Wines are reasonably priced and fun - not your typical pinot noir, merlot, chardonnay, etc. Service was above and beyond my expectations and the staff really made us feel welcome - which is not always the case in this city. I am tempted not to publicize how great this place is, but you can tell that whoever is running this business knows and cares about what they are doing. I will be back soon. Pros: Everything Cons: Small Space more

Amazing LES find 9/2/2007

I came across this restaurant just wandering around the LES and went in because it was so inviting, intimate with just a few tables and a small bar. Turns out it's an awesome place for anyone who doesn't want to decide on just one thing to eat or drink. My friend and I shared five dishes...cutely divided into ""fingers"" and ""forks"" (who doesn't enjoy finger food!) and we each had a couple of different wines. All of the wines are available by the glass or the bottle and the waiter was helpful (but not pretentious) with suggestions. The food was great and all over the map in terms of taste, everything we had was declicious...from the bbq duck to the proscuitto wrapped pears. Also, the honey custard was possibly one of the best desserts I've ever had! This place is small and cute and great for a date or dinner with an old friend, I will definitly be back! Pros: wine selection/ambiance Cons: small...fillls up fast more

One of a Kind 9/2/2007

This place is really one of a kind. The food has such a great combination of flavors from so many different cooking styles - Italian, Chinese, Mexican - all on the same menu. The wines are a great quality and value for the price. It is rare that you can get the great service they provide here without paying a fortune for dinner - I think our meal for two was around $90 with tip. The music is upbeat, without sounding like you are in a club. They really won us over, as we were very skeptical about the menu upon sitting down and we expressed this to the waiter. He handled our indecision and confusion with grace and provided a great meal. I think we will become regulars at this place, but I hope it doen't get too busy too quickly. Pros: Service, Flavors, Wine Choices Cons: Can See This Place Becoming Difficult to Get Into more

Great Time on Busy Friday Night 9/1/2007

Been meaning to try this place for some time since I live right down the street. My BF and I were pleasantly surprised by the food, value, and environment. The place is really tiny, but had a great vibe. Service was professional but not intrusive. I will definitely be back to try everything that is on the menu, but the duck, chicken, and rice ball were awesome for the first go-round Pros: Variety of Menu and Inexpensive Wines Cons: Fills up Quickly more

Delicious food and service 8/27/2007

Went there the other day with a couple of friends for the first time. Just walking by and took a look at the menu. Really liked what we saw and ended up having a great time. Food, wine, and especially the desserts made it a great experience. Can't wait to go back. Waiter was entertaining and attentive. Music also added a nice touch. more

Totally Shocked 8/27/2007

I have never written one of these before, but I had such a great time on a date here last weekend, I feel compelled. The food is great, the service is better, and the place had a great vibe. I loved everything I ate, especially the sausage and pear dish. The wines are really cheap for the quality and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely not your typical NYC experience, but every place should be like this restaurant. Pros: Food, Wine, Service, Decor, Everything Cons: Small Space, Gets Crowded Quickly more

They Won Me Over 8/26/2007

Unbelievable meal - they really went over the top. Service was with us on every step of the meal and the wines are great and cheap. Dishes they recommended - chicken, rice ball, pear, and empanadas - were varied but all worked well together. Server brough us complimentary dessert wine with our dessert. Will definitely be back soon. Pros: Food, Wine, Value Cons: Gets Tight When Full more

Will be Back Soon 6/18/2007

Went on a recommendation from a friend. Loved the rice ball and duck dishes. Space is small, but the staff made us feel very welcome. I am not a big wine drinker, but they paired different glasses with each dish effortlessly. Even gave a free taste of white sangria at the end of the meal. Will definitely be back soon. Pros: Food, Wine Cons: Can get a little loud when full more
