i visited this place recently and i enjoyed my time there. right by prince and spring, its pretty much in the heart of soho. i like how its not quite in the thick of the crowded/loud bar scene-like the ones in the bleecker st area...its just the perfect distance away that if u want to barhop closer to houston, you're only 2blocks or so away.
its a small place but intimate, s exy and cozy with its black walls red lights cushiony seating and candles.
when i went they played great music-eclectic...the tunes range from your current pop hits to gypsy kings to radiohead. so it can be mellow at time but other nites its a full on dance party. and it seems ppl like it either way. i guess the bartenders good at reading the crowd since shes the "dj".
btw..the bartenders hot
drinks are strong and not pricey [beer 5..mixed drinks 7+] <-to me thats not bad...im used to ny prices by now.
like i said its kinda smal and unfortunately they dont have a neon sign or big awning so you may walk right by it...but i heard the music and found my way into the very dimlit bar.
i definitely recommend it. its great for dates, a nite out wit friends, singles, or jus stoping in for a cocktail or 2
