Be warned-this is a rave review! Here's the thing: in NY, rarely do you find a restaurant that not only has great food but has a beautiful atmosphere for such affordable prices. As the name suggests, it is an art gallery as well and has wonderful pieces of artwork that change on a regular basis. I was blown away by this little treasure tucked away behind Aveda. It's the perfect place to stop in after (or before) a leisurely day of shopping. The food was definitely affordable and tasted OUT OF THIS WORLD! I have never had pizza that tasted so fresh. The salads were wonderful, and the white chocolate mousse was fantastic, too. Please go there if you get the chance---YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. Some of the pastas were homemade and everything fresh and prepared to order. Two risottos on the menu were especially good highlighted by a seafood squid ink pasta. Outstanding! After enjoying a nice meal with friends. I mistakenly misread the bill and did not leave enough money. I was extremely emabarrasssed and apologized for my erroe. But after paying the check with a a sizeable tip and was giving a dirty look by the waiter for not giving a big enough tip. Food was excellent but I will never go back. they made an extremely embarrassing situation worse. more

I've gone here twice, and each time the food has not disappointed. Everything tastes freshly prepared, and the waiters know the details of everything on the menu. The service can be pretty slow, so don't expect to be in and out of there too quickly. The warm, dimly lit atmosphere makes it a great place to go on a cold night.
