Unique service skills that follow up even after the job is complete 6/21/2013

I'm extremely happy with Park Avenue Audio! If I could put in a 6, I'd give them a 6. They did our home theater and window treatments. They were punctual, reliable, and clean. My husband is very particular and wanted many things done. They understood him, fulfilled whatever our ideas were, and added on their own ideas. We loved their suggestions. We are extremely happy. They also did a Crestron System, which is sort of like an iPod with widgets on it that is like a brain of everything in the house. It's costly, but you get what you paid for. They worked with our designer, our architect, our contractors. That's very difficult to make everyone happy. Then, when the job was done, they followed through after one month, two months, and three months. They didn't just disappear after they finished the job. They go beyond. Their people skills and services makes them stand out. We were very comfortable with them because they've been around for 40 years. I love that they are in the city, but that they go everywhere. I have already recommended them. more

Park Avenue Audio is highly professional, ethical and a gem 5/25/2011

I passed by Park Avenue Audio from the 28th street green line and noticed their varied and high caliber products and services being displayed on their street window display. Although Park Avenue Audio is well known for their high quality home theater systems, I was amazed that it was the the tip of the iceberg. After they explained what and how they could distribute music, video anywhere in my new condo from my iphone or android, I gave them my credit card. Their installation was white glove service and only once did something need adjusting, which they knew from my system and they corrected over the net. Talk about higher tech. If you what to know the next next generation of home tech beyond anything best buy has, visit these guys. I highly recommended them. more

A Class Act! 5/17/2011

My agent was referred by Liam Neeson and Natasha for me to look into something similar to their Crestron Automation system managing their 150 year-old barn in Upstate New York.\r \r Well, I made the dive and Park Avenue Audio gave new meaning to the term “home entertainment” with amazed guests of my cinema, audio lighting drapes Jacuzzi and lighting throughout controlled by a hand remote.\r more

Home Control Automation raising the bar with Park Ave Audio 5/15/2011

I was referred by a senior project architect at Hill International to be consulted by Park Avenue Audio for my challenging creative 1 west central park client. From the inception, my firm was guided expertly with the engineering and designer staff with various concepts. It was immediate to us and our client that the cost savings with a highly unique whole house audio video system deftly integrated in the interior design as well as the MEP and CPM scheduling ahead of progress was sheer bliss. Interior Design - Home Control Automation 5/14/2011

My Interior designer alexa hampton created a masterpiece which my guests can't stop praising over, with artful hidden speakers, displays, drapes and lighting control all at a touch of a button. I would highly recommend park avenue audio, already known by architects and designers alike. more

Park Avenue Audio Was Rude and Over-Priced 11/20/2010

I went into this store and after a few minutes, the salesman condiscending. I felt he was obnoxious and almost nasty. He told me to get this and that. It was going to cost 2,000. I asked if I could get something cheaper and he said if I did, it wouldn't last. He made no attempt to work with me - it was one system and that was it. I looked around the store trying to see what else they had there and he didn't want to help me at all. As I left, he emphatically said that spending the 2,000 was ""a bargain."" I looked the items up elsewhere and they were 40% less than Park Avenue audio was offering them to me --> because he wanted the full list price. I found the guy to be arrogant and rude. I wouldn't go back because of their prices and attitude. I then went to best buy and waited a little longer and then to PC Richards. In the end, it would not be too difficult to save that 40%. I would avoid them. more

Park Avenue Audio has been owned and operated by the same family for over 40 years. Recently they have added some of the best brands in the consumer audio category such as Mcintosh and B&W. They also have a top notch installation department. A true neighborhood class act. Pros: Huge selection and great service more
