Nickel Spa: A Men's Spa In Chelsea NYC

I come to know about Nickel from Paris. the nickel spa in Paris in the trendy area of ""le Marais"" is very upscale. I go to the one in NYC often for my haircut, and massages and Mani/padi and such. it is decent but not as great as the one in Paris. the main difference is the staff. when you walk to Paris, the staff gave the place a sense of luxury a place you will get pampered. but NYC it feels like a regular place and sometime it feels a little bit dirty... but to their credits they have improved lately. and I still go there.. I like that it is 100% for men. so whether you are Gay, Straight or confused. you can feel a sense of manhood. and it is very very professional and respectable place. the staff are very professional and very courteous. more

It's all about who you get. Yes it would be great if there're fountains and feng shui and cookies etc but if that's what you're looking for don't come here. This place is like a basement but bottom line the massage tables are very comfortable and my masseur David who does not come out of any page from GQ was one of the best I've ever had and I've had plenty. I don't go for manicures so can't help you there but body ask for David. more

I have gone here several times for facials and massages. The service is great, the atmosphere relaxing and all in all a great experience every time. more

Nickel (be sure you say it correctly - Ni-KELL, not NI-ckel) spa for men is, well, for men. The experience I have with them is that I've bought gift certificates on a few occasions - for my husband twice and once for my boss - and it's been a smooth operation each time. The atmosphere is crisp & clean, metallic & slick. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the spa menu is expensive - but that's reasonable for a NYC spa. more

I thought the staff were very friendly and helpful. They offered me the choice of tea or water. I chose the tea, which was only average. Then again, I wasn't here for the tea. more

I would rather have a great massage at Nickel Spa rather than an average massage at any of the other places in the city that are all "prettied up" and over priced. The prices for the massage was very reasonable and well worth my coin. more

Finally there is a spa for men only that really caters to what we need. No more feeling like a second hand thought at the frilly ladies spas! They have the full range of treatments - especially great are the massages and the facial treatments. The staff are all really qualified, and they will be glad to talk to you about this european concept that passed over from Europe. more
