I've suffered from migraines as far back as I can remember, including childhood. And once a migraine hits, I'm nauseous, feeling weak, helpless and pretty much bound to my bed with the lights off and shades closed until the throbbing pain subsides. I always used the standard cure of popping a pain killer and sleeping it off until it went away. A few months ago, they've been occurring more frequently and lasting longer. It was starting to get in the way of my life, especially when I began calling out sick at work a little too much because the pain was unbearable.
I wanted help outside the medicine cabinet, and decided on a whim to try acupuncture for the first time. I decided if I really wanted it to work for me, that I would need the best in the city. So after doing research and finding such positive information on Nan Yi Chun, I decided that I would go to her for my first experience.
In a nutshell, she is wonderful! She is very attentive and personal to what you need. Since I started treatments, my migraines have decreased to headaches that are a lot less painful. And when I do get a headache, it's tolerable enough that I can just pop one pain killer or walk outside in the fresh air and it's gone! I finally don't have to leave work early or put personal obligations aside just to waste a whole day in my bed suffering! Also the frequency of how often I experience headaches every month altogether have been reduced. I almost couldn't believe that after years of suffering, I finally found a helping aid that can give me my life back!
I know I basically wrote an essay, but I'm so excited that it's working for me! I also consider it a bonus how peaceful and serene I feel after each session (even when walking back out onto the stressful streets of NYC, the craziness doesn't phase me). Nan Yi is just fantastic, from her personality to her knowledge of what your needs are.
Pros: No middle man (she handles everything), clean and positive!
