NYC Moving Manhattan Movers just did our move this weekend and did a great job. This moving company is top notch, great rates and excellent customer service.I was quoted on line after checking some positive reviews on Citysearch. Both of the movers were polite,fast and professional, and nice guys to boot. I was a little worried at first as took a while for the first set of items to get out the door, but my concern was misplaced as they spent their initial time in the apartment getting everything prepped. Once they got moving they moved a LOT of stuff with each trip. They did a great job and my wife and I will definitely be using NYC Moving Manhattan Movers and recommend this movers to friend and family in need for reliable movers! more

This was a corporate paid move from New York to Baltimore , MD on April 30th of this year. We set everything up through Jennifer on April 15th and went over an inventory list and compared our in home estimates to that list and tweaked it over the next few days. Their quote was a little higher than one of the estimates and considerably lower than the other. We did not compile quotes from any other companies just the 3 mentioned and were pleased with all 3 companies’ level of service but chose New York VIP Movers based on reviews on this website and we also spoke with one of the owners, Mike Lenny. who was pleasant and really walked us through every question one might have pertaining to moving. After the conversation with Mike Lenny we placed our deposit and set the dates. May 29th or 30th with a preferred date of the 30th. Several days before the move we received a confirmation call from Mitchell in the customer care department letting us know that their crew would in fact arrive on the 30th in NewYork to pack and prep what they could and since it was a 3 man crew the entire process would most likely be done in 1 day. Natanel called the day before on the 29th and confirmed he would be there between 8am and 9am the next morning. They showed up a little earlier at 7:45 and did their thing like we couldn't believe and honestly had everything packed and loaded in 7 hours and it were a big shipment. They delivered 4 days later and absolutely nothing was damaged and looked like it had not even been moved at all. These guys are experts in every fashion and when Tim called to ask if we could post our review on their company, we couldn't off been happier to do it. Highly, highly recommended more

Outstanding customer service! if you need to move, call them and talk to Steven, I don't know if he is like this with all of his clients, All I can say he is the only person I talked to and I talked with over 10 moving companies before I made my decision, he made me feel like he really cares about MY PERSONAL NEEDS!, he worked with my on the payments, explained the process to the smallest detail, But overall was so fun and nice to talk to. Last month I got a good job offer in another city, so I started my research in the internet for a good Moving Company. After making many calls with estimates with a very different price range I finally talked to a very friendly customer service lady. She was very comprehensive and explained me all twice if needed. We agreed on a free visual estimate so a few days later 2 movers showed up to do a visual estimate. I thought that I would have to take off a complete day at work, but since they arrived even earlier than schedule and calculated really fast, I only lost a few hours and could go back to work. So I scheduled the move because they offered me the best price from all the estimates I got from the different moving companies. Two days before the scheduled day the manager called me to verify the address and confirmed the details of the move. The day of the move the 3 guys showed up on time and you could immediately tell that they knew what they were doing! They packed and loaded my whole stuff very fast and delivered it faster than expected to my new home! After verifying the new stuff, I realized that nothing got really damaged, just some minor scratches which were covered by the insurance. So no problems at all! Since I had no trouble at all, they offered the best price and it went all very quickly and smoothly, I don´t hesitate to recommend them to anybody who is looking for a good moving company. I wasn't sure what to expect from a mover considering all the negative reviews I read all over the internet. I found a few companies with mostly positive reviews and out of the few I chose NYC Moving Manhattan Movers due to all the reviews and their better business bureau rating being an A which was for me the deciding factor. They quoted me $3,700 for my move from NYorida to California and gave me a 2 day spread for my pick-up. They called me a day before the pick-up to verify my address and told me to expect the driver between 9 and 2. The driver (Anthony) showed up at 11:30 and loaded the truck and informed me that several pieces of glass (a TV unit, tabletop and mirror) required packing and said "you can do it while we pack the rest of the truck or I can do it and normally we charge $25.00 per piece but we can do it for $50.00" deal. The guys were professional and fast and my delivery on the other end was NYawless. Great job to all envolved. Highly recommended company. more

We hadn't moved since post-college days, over twenty years ago, and had plenty of trepidations, thanks to hearing plenty of mover-horror stories. NYC Moving Manhattan Movers was located through an internet site After phone calls to 6 or 7 movers, three were invited to provide a (free) estimate; NYC Moving Manhattan Movers pricing came in the middle, but their representative was a good deal more thorough, and the estimate more detailed, than the others. Because of closing problems, we changed the moving date three times. Every change was quick and easy. We were moving a two-bedroom apartment, bursting at the NYC Moving Manhattan Movers with books (over 80 boxes thereof) from an elevator building in Manhattan to one in San Diego. The move was scheduled to begin at 9-11 AM and estimated to take about 10 hours. NYC Moving Manhattan Movers arrived at 8 AM. They were willing to wait an hour, but as luck would have it, for the first time in five years, the elevator was out of order. The apartment was on the third Door, and the super, wringing his hands, promised to get the elevator working as soon as possible, so the move began. Twelve hours later, it was finished. The elevator started working after the apartment was all but empty. The truck was not finally loaded until after 3 o'clock. I drove off to the airport fully expecting to hear that the movers had decided to quit for the day and deliver our goods next month (lol), but no, they arrived 10 days later and finished the move. Except for some prodding by the head of the crew that a generous tip would be in order ("This was big job, James"--and it was), there were no attempts to jack up the price because of the elevator, and no charge for the 8-9 hour. Despite all, the final cost was within $100 of the estimate. Fragile goods were well packed and there was little or no damage. A few small things have not yet been located, but there were no major losses. The men were good natured and worked hard. Whenever I gave them instructions, even if it involved mind-changing or more work, they carried them out exactly. Moving itself is nightmare enough; NYC Moving Manhattan Movers minimized the difficulties. At the end of the day I was thoroughly drained but grateful that the movers had seemed to be on my side. more

Back in June the contract in my apartment was about to expire so I was looking for a good moving company. I researched sometime in the internet, yellow pages etc. After calling a few, I realized that the lady from the customer service agent from this company was different than the others I called before. Always friendly, had an answer for all my questions or at least knew who to ask or where to look for it a.s.a.p. The price the offered me for my 2 bedroom move was way lower than the other estimates I got so far so I decided to schedule the move. The night before I received a call from the manager to verify one last time the pick-up address and the direction of the destination so that everything would work fine. The move was scheduled for 8.30am and the movers already arrived with 3 guys at 8.10am so we won a little time thanks the early arrival. They packed and loaded my stuff really quick and you could see immediately that they knew what they were doing. At the destination the unwrapped and unloaded my stuff and put them in the decided places, all this really quick and professional. After I had my stuff and was able to verify that nothing got damaged I paid the bill in the easiest manner with my Visa card. All in all I can say that it was a very good choice to hire this guys! Friendly stuff, fast work, best price and skillful movers. Communications was also great, so I can recommend these guys without any doubts at all! Thanks for the great job! more

Hiring a professional mover for the first time, I was a little anxious and skeptical. But since my company was paying for it, I wanted to make it as easy as myself as possible. First, I called around getting estimates. Most of the professional movers were about the same price for the 2 bedroom apartment worth of contents I had to be moved over 1,000 miles. It took a little while to understand all of the fine print like the binding and non-binding estimates, as well as insurance and limitations of liability. I opted to go with this company. The gentleman was very courteous and prompts with the phone calls and faxes, and explained everything fairly well to me. I had a lot of questions, and most of them were answered quite well. I decided to pack my own things since they would be stored in a storage unit prior to being moved. If moving things from or to a storage unit, choose a unit that is easily accessible to an 18-wheeler. I had a 20x10' unit pretty much full. I didn't get insurance since I didn't have anything too valuable and felt that I packed everything very well myself. I was given a 2-day window for pickup and a 5-day window for drop-off. I was told they would call for instructions the day before and so they did. Great communication and everything worked out extremely well for pickup. For loading, the driver and worker did very well while a family member watched. For drop-off, the driver had excellent communication, and I was able to fax maps to the driver to aid in the 18-wheeler-unfriendly roads in my area. The driver arrived on the first day of the 5-day drop-off period, at the planned time. The driver and worker were professional and courteous and everything was handled with great care. My furniture didn't appear to have any additional wear. I was most worried about a nice bedroom suite, but careful inspection showed it made the move great. The only thing I did notice was the corner of one wall near the corridor appeared to have been scraped by some furniture, only requiring some touch-up painting. Overall, a very good job. more

I've moved 3 times in the past, most of the time with different companies but I just had the best move in my life on the last week with this one. They gave us a very accurate estimate over the phone and help us plan our move. Soon their local dispatch called us and confirmed the job and went over the details. He also seemed very polite and professional, and assured us everything is going as it planed and the movers will come tomorrow @ 9 am. Not only did they show up on time but they packed nearly our entire apartment. Shortly after arriving, the Forman provided us with detailed information about the day and they started to work right away. Thank god they came with extra boxes and moving supplies and actually that we didn't even realize we will be needed! The packing obviously took much longer but once we arrived at our house they unpacked us in record time and even help us to reassemble some of our furniture. This was a painless move and really had a great time with the movers. The guys were very nice and honest and they couldn’t make the move faster and more efficient and I must say, we were extremely pleased with their service. Very fast, friendly and efficient and very professional company which I wouldn't hesitate to use again and highly recommend to everybody! more

Score: 5-stars++. Excellent, Highly recommended! I communicated with the manager over the phone and email. He “architected” the entire move and helped me with couple of “money saving” advises (because it was my first move). Professional communication; excellent responsiveness. The moving team: Vlad (fluent with both Russian and Romanian) and George. The team arrived 5 minute before the scheduled time. Assessed the actual volume in 5 min and accomplished the entire move in 5 hours with zero interference from my side. Both guys worked as “wrapping-packing-moving-unwrapping” machines! Extremely impressive! I was really happy that I decided to hire them instead of doing this move myself (what I actually considered after reading all negativities about moving companies in this and couple of other forums). Bottom line: I would recommend these guys to anyone! Comments: a) Don’t save on wrapping the furniture even if you move around the corner. Let the team to wrap everything in blankets and fix it with scotch tape, - walls in your new place may say “thank you” for that. b) In my opinion it is physically impossible for 2 movers to pack furniture only in 2-bed rooms apartment in 2 hours. 3 hours for packing should be used for estimation. c) Ask the customer service about pricelist for expenses you may have along the way (like scotch tape or boxes). It is good to know about them when you are budgeting your move. more

I am very happy with the quality of work these Movers provided to our family. We left our home area for job relocation and have looked and looked for accredited moving companies that are certified and have great recommendations. This one came up to be one of the top. I contacted them and customer service was just amazing. Jim, the GM, helped me through the process, provided me a quote quickly explaining all costs related to my move. No hidden charges. All information was presented on the quote. I shopped around a little bit and many companies were not providing me with the full picture and were not honest about possible fees. Thanks to Jim, he gave me a few tips on what questions needed to be asked to have the true answer. When I asked these questions to the competitors, there were hesitant to answer. This is when I knew it could have been a possible scam. I chose this Moving Company and I am very happy with my choice. It was the best move I realized so far. We've moved several times over the years and used different companies; this company definitely was the best of the moving companies in every way. They were friendly over the phone and in person when the moving crew showed up; even though it was over 100 degrees, they didn't slow down or show any signs of wear. The move was a big one and we ordered full packing and unpacking service which they called white glove service and we HIGHLY recommend that service if you can. In our new home there were a few issues due to the parking and streets, their truck which was huge could not fit or even get within any reasonable walking distance had to park several miles away at a shopping center and they had to rent a smaller truck from Budget in order to deliver our furniture and boxes. They told us from the start that it may be a problem but we hoped and prayed for the best. The rental and parking situation put our delivery back a full day and even though their dispatcher Steven had already reserved a back-up rental, when James arrived to pick it up, they informed him that they didn't have it available and apologized and his dispatch then had to hunt down another rental truck which took hours and then finding a place to park this tremendous truck and trailer took another hour or so. We decided due to the size of our shipment to just start the next morning early instead of starting at 4:00 in the afternoon. No other hitches or delays or damages from then on. We appreciate everything their stuff did for us to alleviate any stresses associated with moving. They did an outstanding job and we will refer many other families to them. All in all great service, cheap rates, friendly customer service and very professional movers! more

I moved about 4 weeks ago in the Manhattan, NY area and I am very glad that I finally found a good moving company. NYC Moving Manhattan Movers has a great stuff, excellent customer service and good movers! Joe from customer service was always there if I had some questions. One day before they confirmed the move again and to my surprise the next day Reynold and his crew arrived 15min before scheduled! All in all excellent service, great communication and very cheap rates! Call these guys and enjoy moving. more

Wonderful....until they have your belongings I had a horrible cross country move with THOSE CRIMINALS,LIARS,BANDITS FAKE MOVERS After arriving 6 hours late on pick up, my trip took several weeks longer than I was told it would (try living on the floor for 2 weeks, with few clothes to start a new job, on an aerobed). Their customer service refused to call me back, put my on endless hold for people who weren't even in the office, and told me constant lies about where the truck was, and why it was late. Once they have your belongings, they treat you like dirt. Don't think you'll have anyone on your side if anything goes wrong either - you're totally alone once they have your stuff, no credit card, no better business bureau, nothing. I would never recommend them. I am baffled by the positive reviews, the negative reviews on other sites are more in line with what I experienced. If I could go back in time, I'd pay double to use a different provider more

They run a scam. Using different names, faked addresses, dozens phone numbers. They mislead the customers right from the beginning. Giving extremely low estimate and by the time your furniture on their truck - That " low " estimate find a way to TRIPLE itslef. You are forced to pay the new price ! BE AWARE OF THE SCAM ! These guys agreed to arrive between 12-1pm, but didn't even have the courtesy to call to tell me they would be late. They then said 3:30, which would have been too late; and then at 3:30 when they hadn't shown up, I called again and they pushed it to 5pm. I took a day off work for NOTHING. The guy I spoke to apologized profusely, but by then I didn't want to hear it. He said he could do it the next morning, but I didn't want to risk being stood up again so I went with another company which was more costly, but ended up being very reliable. A&A Alliance quoted me a very reasonable rate, but I'm not even sure if these guys are legit. They didn't ask for a deposit, when my building sent them the requirements for the certificate of insurance, they didn't know what it was for. Be very careful before you book these guys. I will never call them for a future move, SORRY NO SUMMER FOR THOSE GUYS , REPORT THEM TO EVERY ONE,CRIMINALS,BANDITS,CROOKS,LIARS more

I booked them 3 weeks in advance and they NEVER showed up. Called that morning with some bogus excuse. I think the good reviews are bogus shills. RUDE. AVOID AVOID AVOID more

Perfect move. Eric our nice Customer service rep was professional and told us everything there was to know about the move before we booked them. When the movers showed up on our move date they were awesome in every regard. Short distance so the pick up and delivery took 4 hours, no damages and great communication. Definitely call them and request Ian and Tommy their drivers, thats who moved us and they were the best! more

My experience with NYC Moving Manhattan Movers was great. I am a very nervous person especially when trusting someone with my belongings. However once I spoke with the customer service manager at the office he gave me some reinsurance that I was going the right route. From the moment we spoke he was very poilte and answered all of my questions regarding rates, price, moving service on the spot. I have to mention this because a few other Manhattan moving companies when asked a question would say "someone will get back to me". This is what made me really use Manhattan movers. I didnt want to have to worry about anything. I had a crew of 4 movers who worked extremely hard and had to help me pack because I didnt know how to pack certain things. They explained everything to me and explained the additional fee because of them having to pack. They wrapped and packed everything for me and made moving easy for myself. On the delivery side, different crew of men but none the less they were just as great as the crew who helped me in n.y. I plan on moving back to New York and I know which moving company I WILL be using. Thank you again guys. more
