Come for a relaxing afternoon tea 10/21/2006

I've never stayed in this hotel, but I've come for afternoon tea. This little hotel, a gem in the British tradition, has a lovely dining room that makes me feel transported out of the city. The place is large, yet cozy, quiet and calm, and a perfect locale for tea.\r They offer the usual items, finger sandwiches, scones, sometimes strawberries, and then little cookies and pastries. If you want to rest a bit after shopping in the Bloomingdale's area, have a good talk with a friend, or just eat a civilized meal, come to the Lowell Hotel for tea and resume your life restored! Pros: Beautiful dining room, delicious tea more
