Shane is a Color God 3/9/2011

I got my hair colored by Shane last week and hands down he's the best. I knew that going to loft 26 meant I might get good color, I didn't realize I was going to get the coolest color ever. He has a way of making it look natural yet making it look like you have good color. He was quick, it was easy and I get compliments everywhere I go. Even when I went to another salon to get my hair cut they all commented on my excellent color. As an added bonus, he's also adorable, very professional, easy to talk to, the kind of colorist that makes you excited to see him at your next appointment. I am officially a devout Shane follower!!!!!! more

Shane Thomas is the best hairdresser and colorist EVER. I m from France , and i moved to NYC 3 years ago, someone recommend me to go there . I was so scared at the beginning but then Shane understand everything i wanted, he did the best balayage EVER...... more

I have more than a few gray hairs. Shane colors my hair with a color that blends them away without changing my natural color. You can't tell that I color my hair. Highly recommended!\r \r more

Amazing color!!! 3/9/2011

Just move to the city from LA so you know that my hair is one of my priorities. A friend from work told me about Shane (her color was always great). The place is so nice, everybody very friendly. When i sat at Shane's i felt good right away, very easy going, the color looks amazing (much better than my LA color, but plz dont tell my old hairstylist). I also enjoyed a nice glass of wine n an amazing head massage. more

Best Colorist Ever 3/8/2011

Shane Thomas is by far the best colorist I've ever known. I've been a client of his for about 7 years now. I would never trust my hair in anyone's hands but his. Every time I leave an appointment with him I look and feel amazing. He always knows exactly what to do that works best for my personal look and style. I would recommend that anyone looking for the best hair experience to make sure you end up in his chair as soon as you can! more

The New York Blonde Guru at a still affordable price 3/7/2011

I, like many of shane thomas's fashion industry clients, am devoted, no dependent on him. He does hair for a lot of the women in my office and my industry. I met him at fashion week a few years ago and have been going to him since. And I can get luxury, high fashion concept color (he specializes in balayage) from him at what I think is still a really reasonable price. It's begrudgingly that I share this new york secret. Sigh, the cute ones are always gay. :) more

Shane is amazing....he does unbelievable majic with color. I live in CA and he did my hair when he was in San Francisco. I now travel to New York for business and always have him do my color when I am there. No one has ever been able to match his ability and eye for color...he is AMAZING! Plus he has a great personality and always makes me laugh! It's a wonderful salon and I always enjoy my time there. more

Shane rescued me!!! 3/4/2011

After a traumatizing experience and having my hair destroyed, Shane did an AMAZING color correction. My hair has never looked better. He took me from a dirty red to a beautiful blonde. I can’t believe he was able to do that. He is ridiculously skilled!! more

Stacey and Loren are the BEST!!!!! 3/4/2011

I've been going to loft 26 for the last year and the word to describe my experience is ""Gorgeous"". When I leave my hair looks amazing!\r I go to Loren for my color and it always comes out a rich chocolate brown with lots of shine.Stacey Cuts my hair and it is always on point and she always has recomendations whenever im wanting something a little different. Stacey also does something fun with a curling iron and/or flat iron. I always leave feeling gorgeous and knowing that Stacey and Loren do Bethenny Frankel's hair secretely makes me happy! Shane Thomas is a genius when it comes to color. I constantly am getting compliments on my hair and its all thanks to him! He not only does great color, he also is a pleasure to visit. The ""go-to"" salon if you want to look gorgeous 3/2/2011

I've lived in Manhattan for a dozen years...tried all the ""top"" salons, but never have I been happier with my look or felt more at home than at Loft 26. Loren, the head colorist, has TRANSFORMED my mixed bag of blonde color into glowing, natural, blonde highlights that suit my skin tone perfectly. She's created such a magic shade for me that my skin looks good, even without make-up! I go to Stacey, the owner, for my cut and style. Stacey is amazing, a true expert at her craft. She creates the perfect modern, fresh and stunning look that makes you feel gorgeous. Trust me...you will walk out of Loft 26 feeling like you're ready for the cover of a magazine! more

What Can I Say ....... 2/21/2011

I have only been to a salon maybe three times in my life and that was back in the mid 80's. I walked into Loft 26 and found the friendly atmosphere and kind faces to be welcoming. Stacey Weinstein, the owner, was the stylist to cut my hair, she endured, my hair is extremely thick, she did a superb job, blowing, I have never seen someone do that faster, and styling, I have absolute admiration for her skills. I can honestly say I want no one else in my hair after Stacey. The wonderful family type atmosphere at Loft 26 leaves you feeling that you are a part of their family. Loft 26, Thank You… more

Help for Curly Hair 2/21/2011

I finally found someone who can bring my natural curls in a cut that I just towel dry. No involved products or hair dryer! John Gerard Griffin at Loft 26. He's also very nice and funny. Lauren does a great job with my color, too. more

Great experience! 1/3/2011

I purchased a Coppola Keratin complex treatment at Loft 26 through Group On. I waited a while to schedule my appointment and they were able to fit me right in. I was received by a very welcoming staff and had a wonderful experience. John Girard did my treatment and took quite a bit of time to provide all the information I needed and answer any questions I had. He was friendly and upbeat the whole time, and did a fabulous job on my hair. After not washing my straightened hair for three days as instructed, I am thrilled with the results. Almost no frizz with just a little wave - exactly what I was going for. No more 45 minutes blow drying and straightening my hair. I highly recommend John Girard at Loft 26. more

loft 26 is a great space. Light and airy. professional yet relaxed. I have tied a lot of different hairstylists over the years some good, others excellent but John is outstanding. I really look forward to having my hair cut by him because he not only makes me look good I feel good too. He is really great at what he does and has a really lovely manner as well. My haircut is always great because he listens to what I want and then makes suggestions and I am always pleased with the result. I have sent a lot of friends to him. Highly recommended. more
