Good Vibes, Crazy Cocktail and Beautiful people 9/13/2006

My friends and I were walking by and decided to stay for one drink and ended up staying 'till last call because the beats were CRAZY. I think the name of the dj was Attila and I have to say THANK U, good times...will definately be back. The Neighborhood Bar 8/8/2006

With the coziness and comfort of soft seating, a crackling fire in the brick fireplace on cold nights, and oddly over-saturated artwork hanging on the walls, this quaint east village bar is the perfect pitstop to linger on several of their specialty drinks after work. Having lived just a block away, I've practically substituted my living room for the comforts of Keybar. (Not to say I'm an alcoholic by any means!) The bartenders are very nice and the 2 for 1 drink tickets before 10pm are quite nice as well! The size of the establishment is preferable for a date or a small group of friends. Great find 2/24/2006

Saw this listing under 'Best Lounge' and decided to check it out. Got there early in time for the 2 for 1 drinks. The specialty martini was a little too sweet and sugary so we just went for the real thing after that. Cute bartenders were friendly. The fire was good to have on a cold night. This place is fairly small (it would make a great apartment) but since we were there early we got seats and a table and it was all good. Will go back again. Pros: atmosphere, drink specials more

Atilla, the DJ/owner plays a great mix of house music all night. Atilla and barstaff were very personable and not stuffy like some NYC places. Considering I know the owner's name and we only went there one night should tell you something. The place is not huge and there isn't a lot of seating, but the atmosphere, music, concoctions and interesting people make up for it. We'll definitely be back. Great Bday spot 8/30/2005

I just had my birthday at the Keybar and it was a rousing success. The owners and staff made sure that everything was perfect for my big day. The DJ was spinning some great 80s dance music that had all my friends grooving and the beautiful bartenders made sure that the alcohol was flowing. The DJs know how to rock a party from great house music, banging 80s and hard rock, to classic funk and hip hop. And the bartenders?!?! Oooh...daddy likes. This bar will easily become a favorite. The music is great. The crowd is friendly and unpretentous; but still hip and desirable. Definitely a great place to go on the weekend and during the week. The specialty drinks are winners! more

I've met with some friends there for happy hour. Great place with a REAL WOOD-BURNING FIREPLACE. You rarely come across these in the city any more, I loved it. Pros: good happy hour, good crowd, good music more

I had my birthday gathering here and had a blast. I reserved the backroom - it was a bit warm - it may have been the Rolo shots that kept flowing ! and the owners bought a round of shots for us. I will go back again and again. Pros: great drinks more

Saturday night, good scene, kind of young (low to mid 20s) GREAT music, the Rolo shot lives up to the hype. I had the back ""room"" reserved... very very tiny but cozy. I just discovered the Keybar. What an amazing place to hang out with your friends and have a great time. The music on Friday nights is one of the best I've heard in a long time. Strong Drinks 8/9/2004

At 4am, I'll probably drink gasoline and not know the difference, I had one drink here and it was all liquor. I stick with the one eastern european beer on tap,.....can't remember the name of it. this place gets some local russians and various other eastern europeans late nite after the run at the bars. Good times but plays too much cheesey 80's music. more

my friends and i ordered food and the wonderful owner whole heartedly invited us to dine right in the lounge.. taking advantage of the $2 vodka cranberries.. amazing shot menu, wonderful vibe. we stayed there all night.. and we're going back soon kickin vibes and tunes.. great house music Pros: friendly staff, cheap drinks, good music more

I had my birthday here a few weeks ago, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere was very laid back and friendly, the staff was great, and the drinks were yummy. Very cool vibe flowing out of this place..the fireplace is the best when its chillly and when its not the place has great atmosphere... probably the best part about this bar is the crowd it attracts - chill new yorkers and europeans...very cool Service gets a little slow when the bar gets packed, but the more the merrier, so be patient!
