Editorial review from Citysearch 11/11/2012

Jeremy's Ale House NYC location reopened on Saturday November 10. The bar and kitchen are both open. They are open seven days a week until midnight. more

Great Cheap Eats 2/8/2010

I used to come here with my co-workers for lunch before the real crowd gets here. I remember ordering a grilled salmon steak with yellow rice and salad for like 9 bucks! So I kept going back. The burgers and the fried shrimp are also good and well seasoned. Pros: Better than normal bar food Cons: It's an Ale House, what do you expect more

Cheap beer in a styrofoam cup 4/1/2007

Jeremy's is at the apex of NYC dive bars. They have wide selection of popular beers, it's dirt cheap (compared to regular nyc bars) and it comes in a styro foam cup. The food is mediocre at best, but after 2-3 quart sized beers you don't really care. I usually go there for the sunday football games. They feature a projector and tv's every where. There are bras hanging from the ceiling and the bathrooms are rather horrid, espcially after a few of those quarts. But if you don't have to eat or p, the place is where it's at if you want to: get blitzed, don't mind a dive and happen to be in the sea port area. Pros: Quart sized cups Cons: Quart sized cups more

A loading dock serving beers 10/7/2006

I am laughing when reading the other reviews like ""no hot chics"" ""needs more women"". How funny. Why would any woman, hot or not, want to go here? I stopped in w/ my husband to watch Yankees playoff game on a Saturday afternoon. Where were the MEN? I did not see any cops, firemen, construction workers, or college guys, just a bunch of drunks! This place is a loading dock, no lie, with some poor quality tv screens. Beer selection is excellent, and wings and other snacks are cheap and good. Bras hanging on the ceiling is the only decoration here. If you are a college kid or just want to drink beer in cups, then this is the place for you. It was funny. Won't be going back anytime soon, but I can see its appeal to many people. Pros: VERY cheap and decent snacks, and great beer selection Cons: Gross interior, lots of slobs more

It is what it is 7/3/2006

Dont go here if you're looking for hot chicks and loads of women, because you wont find any. But the cheap 32oz buckets of beer are fantastic, the food is really good (the home made potato chips are outstanding), and the fact that you can gamble on Quick Draw is hilarious and really fun with a buzz. A very mixed crowd - everything from high paid Wall Street executives to construction workers named Joe. A fun place. As I say, it is what it is. No glamor or style, but a fantastic dive bar well worth checking out. more

good buckets 12/5/2005

good cold beer...too many guys...not enough women......a real good lunch spot if you work downtown....good food. more

I love it here! 10/11/2004

My friend lives near by so we can here on a whim for Sunday football. What a great day! Tim the owner is awesome. Not only are there really really ridiculously cheap beers but free food! One of my friends got the fried scallops and won't shut up about how good they were for the rest of the night. The place is big and airy and I perfect sports bar. Come here quickly before it gets discovered and crowded. Pros: Free Food, Cheap drinks, Big Room more

GREAT LUNCHES 8/1/2003

I have worked in lower Manhattan for over 15 years, and have not found a better place to eat a nice relaxing lunch. It seems most places want you in and out, with no chance to enjoy the meal. I have found at ""Jeremy's"" that you can enjoy your time away from work. Pros: Great bartenders/owne, Good food, Great Beer deals Cons: NO A/C, NO A/C, No A/C more

Dive into the 32oz beers... 4/2/2003

I wasn't motivated to walk to this place, due to the south street seaport odors. I stepped into the bar, only to absorb the environment; what a dive! You can't help but notice all of the bras and ties hanging from the ceiling. I love the 32 oz beers served in styrofoam cups! Off the hook. It kind of sucked that the subway station wasn't close by, but what an experience! Pros: big beers, buffet Cons: far from subway, going outside smells more

Do they still have the ""eye-opener""? 1/25/2003

You have to have a good time at this place. It's anything but 'posh', but the music and crowd are great, the beers are huge and cheap. Go. Just go. more

Think Twice Ladies 12/16/2002

I have never experienced more harassment from drunk and obnoxious men. Some coworkers and I went here for an afterwork christmas party and were verbally assaulted by SEVERAL patrons. This was more than just your run-of-the-mill flirtation--the vulgarity and obscenity left me feeling intimadated and fearful. Management simply does not do a good job of providing a safe environment for women. Great food and cheap beer cannot compensate. Pros: great seafood, cheap beer Cons: unsafe atmosphere, questionable crowd more

Bra-tastic!!!! 8/19/2002

In-house ATM, great jukebox, excellent fried fish, enormous beers ealry house. What more could you ask for? more

fun with styrofoam 7/24/2002

I like big beers and i cannot lie. The best place to go if you work downtown. more
