Excellent all around. Some of the best Indian food I've ever tasted and arguably the best currently available on the upper west side (at least since Tamarind closed). The food is always delicious (favorites include lamb korma, chicken tikka masala, and saag) and the service, including delivery, is always first-rate. Highly recommended! more

Don't go this place 2/9/2010

Don't go at this place food taste very bad & it dosnt look like indian place its look like more spanish place becouse people there all spanish & they allways speak spanish..very loud..& I also order delievery one day the spanish guy pick up the phone very rude..I don't recommend this place.. more

My VERY FAVE Indian Restaurant 6/24/2009

i am absolutely addicted to Indigo Indian Restaurant. I order it for delivery at least twice a week and whenever i have guests in town, i always take them to lunch here!! They have the most amazing prix fixe lunch menu which is ridiculously cheap, but you would think you are eating the most expensive Indian food in the world b/c it is TRULY DELICIOUS!!! The chef is Indian and I always tell him that he cooks the best Indian food in all of NYC. If you like spice, ask them to make your dish hot and oh my goodness.......it will make you sweat!! But i love the Indian spices so I usually order it HOT every other time!! If you are on the Upper West Side and you love Indian food, you MUST come eat here!!! Pros: prix fixe menu, chicken curry, chana masala, naan!! Cons: none!! more

My favorite Indian restaurant ever!! 3/6/2009

My husband and I are HUGE Indian food fans and we have tried so many places throughout the city, but every single time we say ""It's not as good as Indigo."" Thank goodness, we live on the Upper West Side, which is where it is located. We order it at least once a week and get it delivered. I get teh chicken curry and he gets something with chick peas, i think Chana Marsala. We also try different appetizers and love everything we've ever ordered. There chicken breast is by far the best with NEVER any fat. It is always the best pieces of chicken. I really cant say enough good things about this Indian restaurant. I absolutley HAVE to eat Indigo every single week. Pros: Hands down best Indian Food--Great price more

Not as exceptional.. but quiet nice. 12/11/2006

The atmosphere is calm and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food quality was decent, but not as exceptional. The tandoori chicken was just red colored with no flavor. The chicken tikka, although delicious was very sweet and overpowered with tomato taste. Not as authentic of Indian food, but it wasn't bad. Pros: Service & Ambience Cons: Food Authenticity more

Indian gem on the Upper West Side! 9/6/2006

We've been to this small, casual, 2-level Indian bistro several times and consistently have had an outstanding meal every, single time! The quality of the food (especially the chicken dishes)is noticeably better than most of the other local, pricier Indian restaurants, and is always delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive, prices are fantastic and their delivery menu has a very generous multi-course offering. We've introduced several friends to Indigo, who have had the same experience as us. A real find on the Upper West Side! Pros: Quality/Taste of food, Prices Cons: Atmosphere is understated and plain, but the food is so good...who cares! more
