Future Tan Salon & Spa

ive been to just about every tanning salon in the city and surprised ive never heard of future tans. i went in for the first time today. it was a great experience. very cute salon, with a wonderful stuff. they open at 9 am and i figured let me try and call at 845am and surpsrisingly a sales associate answered the phone very pleasantly! she answered all my questions thoroughly. i came in later that day and used the matrix! loved it! it gave me wonderful color with great lotion that was recommended for a longer darker tan! i ended up buying a package! its a beautfiul salon with a great staff! im so happy i found a place that i will continue to do business with! thank you future tan! I went in there for the first time today. First off the salon itself is absolutely gorgeous, it gives a warm cozy feeling, and is very clean unlike most other ones.The sales receptionist was extremely wonderful. I believe her name is Amanda. She knew exactly what she was talking about and is really knowledgeable when it comes to tanning. she gave me a tour of the store and really took the time out to answer all my questions. Went in with a ""buy 1 tan, get free week"" coupon and was slightly annoyed to learn they would not honor it. HOWEVER, they had simply changed their deal to ""buy 2 tans, get free week"" so I did it (I had already walked all the way over there...) and am VERY glad that I did. Totally worth it. The rep at the front desk was wonderful! very nice, didn't try to push expensive upgrades/lotions on me and was very helpful in quickly explaining all the equipment and offering suggestions based on what I wanted (tan-wise). Long story short: got an AMAZING tan in 1 week that lasted much longer than I thought it would. When I wanted to switch machines, they suggested one and it was perfect! The people who work their really do care about their jobs/customers/salon. Plus, they're open till midnight, which is super convenient! Would def. go back and get a package, even thought it was really out of my way. Had been going on lunch breaks from work and always emerged very relaxed and tan. I went tanning at Future Tan yesterday for the first time and I will never go anywhere else! First of all, the girls at the front were lovely and gave me a tour of this beautiful tanning salon! Ive never been in a tanning place like this...it is amazing!! Then Im not sure what type of bed it was, but it was room #2 and i got the most beautiful tan in just one session. I have a little base tan anyway, but this bed kicked it way up!! LOVE THAT!! Thank you Future Tan...you have a customer for life!!! i have had some bad experiences in the past with spray tan booths. But i needed a tan for the memorial day weekend. my roommate had recommended Future Tan, she goes all the time and her color always looks great. the girls were great, they walked me through the whole process and made me feel comfortable because i was a little scared. lol. they added a fragrance and this booster that cut the wait time in half. it was quick and easy. i would recommend this place to anyone. thanks future tan for making me look good in a white bathing suit. :) Pros: clean, helpful and friendly staff, newest mystic booth more

I used to tan at Hollywood Tan before they closed down. i had googled and spoke to a bunch of different salons that were near my apartment. i had spoken to cindy over the phone and she was great! she was really helpful and she knew what she was talking about. i decided to go to the salon. I was so pleased. the place was so beautiful, she walked me through the salon and showed me all the different machines. some of the machines looked like space ships, it looked so crazy. i took advantage of one of the specials that they had and found myself a new tanning salon!! I have been coming to Future Tan for almost 2 years now.Everyday that I come tanning is better then the last. New ammenities are always being added to the store making it better then ever. I always get a great tan here because the bulbs are always kept fresh. Cindy, ashley, and India are all so educated on tanning that they can answer any question you have!! what a difference!! i used to spray tan at a near by salon, but my friend had recommended future tan because they had the newest model. it was really a pleasant experience. they were very accommodating, i wasnt charged for the darker shade or the little booties. the best part was the fragrance that they added, it kills that self tanner smell. the salon is very clean and the girl was really helpful, she went through the whole process and gave me some good tips to get the best results. it sprayed like a mist and dried quickly. i was out the door in a few minutes and had great color for the rest of the week Pros: late hours, friendly and helpful staff more

I am a die hard tanner!!! But i only just recently used the spray tan for the first time. I would'nt have done it if it wasnt for those cool girls that work in the store : P . They were so friendly and knew all the answers to my questions. i love the color that i got from the spray. Im so glad i have a new option for getting great color! more

i have been coming to future tan for years and have always enjoyed my experience here. the ambiance of the salon is very homely feeling. the girls have always been super helpful and have always gave me good advice on what to do. i recently had a very important event to attend and ashley had suggusted to do a double-dip ( a machine and a spray tan). first i had used the ergoline 800 which i always use for 15 min and then i had my customized airbrushing by cindy. it was my first time ever getting sprayed in the new wet room that they have downstairs. the room was so nice, i felt like i was in a spa room. my color looked amazing, she took her time and made sure that everything was perfect before i left. i was really pleased with my results and would recommend this to anyone. I usually tan at Portifino, but I went into this salon because someone told me that the Matrix is a great bed. Well, the girl was pretty helpful, she told me about the coupon on citysearch (which is why I'm here), so I printed it out and went back. I'm an avid tanner and took my own lotion (Cypher w/Bronze), the bed looks cool, but the only color left on my skin was from the DHA in my lotion. I don't know what the rest of the salon is like, the front looks okay, kinda small, but the Matrix bombed. Thanks to the skinny girl there tho, at least I didn't have to pay full price! You kidding me? This is not only the best tanning salon in New York City, possibly it's the best in the country! I know...been to others, and they don't even come close. Staff are super-friendly, and make you feel right at home. Pros: best equipment, hippest and most comfortable environment ever Cons: I can't think of a single one! more

Let me begin by saying how wonderful the staff was. They were so nice and friendly, great costumer service. The attendant walked me through the entire salon and explained how all the different machines worked. I went in to tan in a machine but I also ended up getting airbrushed as well. I used a bed called the Matrix. It was so spacey and theirs a voice that tells you when your half way through the session and when your almost done. Not only were the machines cool but the place so nice. Even the bathroom was beautiful. The color I left with was insane! I was so dark, i loved it! The airbrush artist got me to the color I exactly wanted. He walked me through all the entire session so i was very comfortable. He told me it normally last about 10 days, its day 5 now and its still going strong! Future Tan definitly gained a loyal client because i will never go any where else again. more

This place on a scale of 1 - 10 has to have a score of 11 as far as the staff goes. All of the employees are not only educated on the beds and lotions...but their customer service skills are inpeccable. Cindy will and has gone out of her way to teach me the machines...as well as any and every special they have running. It's a pleasure to tan here....I have been tanning for over 10 years...never in my experience have I felt like I am at a spa whilst tanning. I will never use any spay booth anywhere else! I heard through a friend that Future Tan had the newest mystic spray booth. I had tried the California Tan spray booth and i was so unhappy with it. I seen my friends color two days after she got sprayed at Future Tan and i loved her color, so i had to try it.The salon is such a nice place and employees were so friendly and knowledgable about the booth. They walked me through the entire place. I had 4 different solutions to choose from with a complimentary vanilla scent that they added for me, which i loved.The salon supplied everything i needed, fresh towels, facial wipes, barrier cream, nose plugs, foot coverings, hair nets, and they even had a mystic demo playing in the lobby. It was definately a pleasant expierence. A few hours later, my color came out exactly what i wanted and even. i would never use any other spray booth anywhere else. I recently became a member at Future Tan of the Village. I've heard from friends to try this salon because they all love it and I finally decided to. I had a party coming up and I needed to have fast color. I talked to a staff member and they suggested the new Mystic My-Mist. She told me that it's the newesy spray booth on the market and it's just like airbrush tanning! I decided to try it out and I was shocked to find out that there were different cartridges with the color in them and the girl gave me the one that would best suit my skin type. She spent a lot of time thouroghly explaining every step to me. It was sooo easy!! It only took 40 seconds and I was tan as soon as I got out!! I waited about 6 hours and I had a perfect, even, brown tan, no orange color, no streaks! I couldn't believe I had such perfect results in only 40 seconds! I absolutly loved the Mystic Booth but I also love the tanning beds so I went back about 2 weeks later to inquire about their different machines. Come to find out they have 16 different machines designed for any and all skin types! They took for a tour and showed me every machine and explained the benefits of each one. I decided to try there newest machine the new 2007 redesigned Matrix bed. Its all browning so no matter what the color of my skin is you can't burn. I loved my color in both the Mystic and the tanning beds. I will continue to be a client at Future Tan of the Village and I would recommend it to anyone that wants the best results, friendliest staff, and the newest technology!! Love this place!!!!! i found out about future tan on citysearch and took a look at their website from the link. so i called to find out about the specials they had advertised online. from the moment theyanswered the phone to the moment i walked out of the door after tanning, i recieved nothing but first class, professional, friendly service. they were able and willing to answer any and all questions i had about the salon itself and tanning in general in great detail, and they really know what they're talking about. i had been tanning a few times before, but i didn't really know much about it so i had no idea what kind of bed to do before i got there, but the girl helped me figured out which bed was best for achieving the result i wanted without the risk of overexposing my skin. i used their newest bed, the ergoline 800, from germany, and i got the most amazing color of my life--and after only 10 minutes of tanning! i will never go to another tanning salon. i love this place, because you can't find the level of customer service coupled with the trendy, relaxing atmosphere anywhere else. more
