I'm so happy my friend revealed this hidden secret to me! Not only is Despana a cute little place to shop - (which offers tons of free samples!!!!) but you can get the best sandwiches in back. My friend and I split one and both of us were sated. The ingredients are top quality hams, chorizo, pork etc, and really nice cheeses and sauces. It's totally a ""less is more"" sandwich focusing on quality ingredients. My only complaint was that the bread was a bit tough/chewy, but that's just me. I picked up some chorizo on my way out. This place is for sure a hidden gem. Not much room to sit, but for a quick bite, it's worth an out of the way sidetrip. or takeout!
