I was so worried when I had to leave my favorite colorist in Chicago when I moved to NY. After finding Christopher Stanley Salon - I am no longer worried. The salon is fantastic - everyone is so friendly - no pretense. My appointment was late on a Thursday night - and there was no rush to get me out - I felt very relaxed and at home. My color is amazing - and the cut is fantastic. more

I've been going to Christopher Stanley for over 2 years now and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Miguel, who works at the front desk, is fantastic - he makes you feel at home and just from talking to him he creates an environment that's laid-back and friendly - unlike so many other salons that come off as unapproachable.\r \r I've been going to Karen for over a year now for color and have loved what she does every time I'm there. I normally get the T-section but have also gotten the half-head of highlights when needed. She never pushes you to get the more expensive service - one time when I scheduled a half-head thinking I needed it, she told me that it was a waste of money and could hold off for a few appointments. The color she picks each time is perfect - I'm blond and it's never too brassy, too light, dark, or streaky. People literally have complimented me on the streets! She's great to chat with, but if you aren't a talker will also leave you alone if you want. \r \r My previous colorist left the salon and I chose to stay with Christopher Stanley because I knew all their colorists are fabulous and just couldn't imagine going anywhere else and feeling so at home.\r \r I definitely recommend it here - and it's so conveient to get to - not far at all from any of the subway lines. This Salon is in Flatiron. I was very grateful to get an appointment on the same day that I called them. I picked the salon because they use Goldwell products, which are supposed to be the best for your hair. I was very happy with Karen. She was very nice and very knowledgeable and helped darken my hair which was way too red when I walked in. The staff at the front was also very nice and made me feel very comfortable. I'm looking forward to my next appointment! - and I think I might want to become a blonde. I have been getting my hair colored by Cory at Chrisyopher Stanley for over a year now. Wether it's reddish bown for fall or golden highlights for spring, she always takes the time to find the perfect color for me and it always looks fabulous. Since I have been going to her complete strangers complement me on my color. My hair has never looked better and I owe it all to Cory. She is the best!!!!! more

Truly the worst color and messed up haircut I have ever had. My colorist (one of the owners even) didn't even listen to what I wanted and I look like I have yellow streaks on my almost black hair. I asked for shades of caramel and light brown. When I questioned him about it he got defensive and told me ""it would wash down, but if I really wanted to I could come back in a week or so for a gloss if I really hated it""... are you kidding??? Then some girl cut me - didn't even talk to me because I was so late getting to her but at that I just wanted to get out of there. My advise... go down the street where I got it fixed... Cons: they don't listen more

I received super star treatment from Cory. Starting with a consultation, Cory examined my hair and discussed with me what I desired out of the treatment and style. I expected that everyone received the same Keratin treatment, but Cory picked specific products and tools for my hair type and desired look. She worked tirelessly on my hair for 3 hours (save a 10 minute break where the treatment just sat) and was extremely thorough, gentle and really personalized the treatment for me. The results are amazing. A glassy shine, very little frizz or reaction to humidity, and my hair is so much more manageable. I was on the fence whether this was worth it and the answer is yes yes yes yes! See Cory and enjoy the summer with the hair you want!
