My boyfriend wanted his hands to look nice before a big interview and I saw a couple of guys in there, so he and I went in. First of all, the ""manicurist"" working on him didn't have ANY idea how to use the buffer - which, obviously, is all that matters in a guy's manicure. I was next to him, so I told her step-by-step how to use the thing and that was her initiation into her JOB. I will be doing his myself in the future, I guess. in my case, similar to the other review, HORRIBLE attitude from the woman working on my hands. Scowling as if clipping cuticles is the most disgusting thing she has ever had to do, slaps my wrists a few times for the ""massage"" and the second she's done with topcoat she picks up her jacket and asks for her tip. Are you kidding me? The owner says, Not Even Kidding:\r
Ok, we'll go into your bag and get the tip, no problem - what's wrong?\r
Um, first of all, why wouldn't you wait until my nails have dried and your clients are leaving prior to packing up, and second of all it is SO inappropriate to solicit your tip. Third of all, SO inappropriate to violate personal property on the grounds of that solicitation. What kind of business operation is that?! So I say no, I will leave the tip with your manager and you can get it tomorrow. Oh, I'm not working tomorrow, you'll just have to give it to me now, she said. I was SO appalled and my boyfriend looked like he was about to explode - he's really intolerant of sloppy customer service conduct, and this wasn't just sloppy, it was absolutely rude and unprofessional. Nails were fine, it's practically next door but I will NEVER go there again.. especially since I'm too much of a pushover and had my boyfriend grab a tip from my bag for the sorry hustler.
Pros: Convenient, Walk-ins, Makes you appreciate any other nail salon
Cons: Rude, Unprofessional, Mixed Experience/Unpredictable skill level, Disregard of customer service, Cramped space, Bad attitudes, Sour overall experience
