I went to Caliente Cab last night to have dinner with some friends, and we had the worst dining experience ever. First, no one came over to our table for 10 minutes. It took us another 10 minutes to get water, which we had to ask for 2 times, and it was 90 degrees outside! The margaritas were watered down and contained almost no alcohol. Our waitress, when we would ask her for things, would just go stand in a corner and stare out into space. She did this for the entire time we were there, neither being attentive to any of her tables or actually doing any work. Her name was Blair and I have to say she was the most inattentive, lazy, and slowest waitress I?ve ever had. After spending another couple of minutes trying to flag her down, we went to order. She knew nothing about the menu ? we?d order something and she?d flip a menu open, read the description, and then ask ?what kind of meat??, etc. When one of the girls at our table went to order an entree with no mushrooms, she refused, insisting that this was impossible. She snapped at our friend when we questioned this, as its something she's ordered before in the same chain. Eventually, we called the manager over to complain, which we don?t like to do as three of us have worked in restaurants (as servers, bartenders, AND managers) for years. He added more alcohol to our drinks but charged us for this, and made excuses for the waitress because it was indeed possible to order something without mushrooms. Waiting for the check was another fiasco. The food and drink weren?t even good, and everything on the menu was grossly overpriced. I won?t ever eat in one of these restaurants again, and don?t suggest anyone else does either. There?s a million restaurants on 7th Ave South, all much more enjoyable with good service. Caliente Cab should be embarrassed for the service we received, and should have at least had the decency to send over a complimentary round of drinks. Bad service, bad management, bad place!!!!
