Great Comedy Show!! 5/8/2011

We bought discount comedy tickets online at a site called Best Comedy Tickets went to Broadway Comedy Club on thursday night. The host of the show was very funny! The other comedians that night were really hilarious We even recognized some of them from Comedy Central. We will definitely will be back at the Broadway Comedy Club. more

The Best Comedy Club I've Ever Been To! 2/27/2011

By the time the show was over, our bellies hurt from laughing so hard. Seeing Marina Franklin from the Chapelle show was a treat. She's incredible. Plus, Judah Friedlander and Greg Fitzsimmons completely tore the place apart. We spent $30 on VIP passes and felt like it was a steal. Can't wait to use the free bonus tickets to go back! more

No Talent & a Dump 2/23/2011

The domestic beer is $8 and they include the tip, so the help doesn't care about service. The comics were duller than my butter knives and the place smelled. Most of the audience is from foreign countries, so you know it is a tourist trap. They even had young 14 yo girls sitting on stage as part of the audience. Some of the comics announced that they were changing the routine, because of the girls. The announcements were as funny as the rest of the jokes. We went with the living social deal for $20 for 2 tickets& 2 drinks. The bill was $25, so we paid $45 total for everything with tip. We have a second voucher, but I don't think we can go back, the place smelled too bad. more

Amazing Comedy Show! 2/14/2011

My husband and I purchase discount tickets on the Best Comedy Tickets web site, and we love the show at the Broadway Comedy Club. We watch comedy central a lot, so as tourist we wanted to go to a comedy show while in New York. Most of the comedians we recognized from TV, and we're very funny. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great night out buy tickets from best comedy tickets they had good customer service, and gave us good recommendations. more

DO NOT GO HERE. This club does not deserve your business. 12/4/2010

DO NOT GO HERE. This club is unsafe and exploits its customers, especially tourists. Gratuity is included, so the service staff only cares about whether you order drinks & not about whether you're experiencing decent service. The club's management encourages a combative, rude, and frighteningly aggressive atmosphere. I went here tonight to support my friend in a comedy competition. DURING MY FRIEND'S PERFORMANCE--which I had traveled for over one hour & paid a cover to see, and which was only scheduled to be 5 minutes long--the waitress Ashley picked a fight with me & threatened to call security if I didn't move to another section of the club--even though I was observing the club's rules & was seated and had ordered a drink. Her behavior was combative and aggressive for no valid reason, and was basically an attempt to display power. Due to Ashley's behavior, I missed half of my friend's performance, which was the only reason I came to this club. I discussed Ashley's behavior with the manager, David (who has long blond hair). He was immediately defensive and dismissive of my concerns. He clearly didn't care, and it dawned on me that he encouraged an atmosphere of combative, rude, and aggressive behavior from the waitstaff. The rest of my (very large) group shared similar stories afterwards about how aggressive, rude, and surly the waitstaff was. Given my experience, and the experience of my group, I will never go here again. Please don't go here, either. Especially if you're new to New York, you should know that there are a lot of other amazing comedy clubs in New York City. New York City is a meritocracy, and this club does not deserve to survive unless it changes it service philosophy. more

First Comedy Club 8/7/2010

I went here last night it was my very first comedy club and i really enjoyed myself the comedians were great theyre were quite a few. I didn't like two of them they weren't funny but the others made up for it. One advice don't sit in the front or middle section if you're one of those people who get offended quickly. We also got free tickets to go 3 times that was a really great gesture. They require a 2 drink min like most comedy clubs there drinks suck I will just stick with soda. Also there waitress is rather annoying we understand theres a 2 drink min and we will purchase 2 but she kept coming every 5 mins asking what we wanted I said please am not even done with my first one wait the show is an hour and 30 mins even 2 hours why rushing me? Then she says ill be back in 10 mins as if that was an improvement. That was the only down fall overall I really enjoyed the place and will go back but I will purchase soda and tell her what I want in the beginning so she wont interupt me throughout the show. And one other advice make reservations they sale out fast more

Absolute Garbage 4/25/2010

Is it possible to give zero stars? What a terrible experience. Here's what you get for $50 at this place. 3 fountain sodas, 1 screwdriver, a handful of nachos with nasty cheese, and 3 microwaved chicken fingers. Somehow it took more than 30 mins to make it, and then we were rushed out the door. When I approached the manager to complain he told me that "maybe you're not cut out for comedy clubs." The service was awful, the food was overpriced, and the venue was tight and uncomfortable. I dont care who is performing here, I would never go back. Pros: zero Cons: too many to name but I will try more

Good Comedy + Drinks, David Voice Stein + Matt Florio GREAT 1/21/2010

Had an amazing time. AMAZING! The comedians made the night amazing. The best comedians were David "The Voice" Stein and MAtt Florio. I will be following there careers! Pros: FUNNY PEOPLE, GOOD DRINKS Cons: None more

Delicious Candy Janes 11/12/2009

I'm not a professional dancer, nor am I a judge on So You Think You Can Dance. I didn't really understand how good these girls are until I saw another troupe perform and I was utterly bored. It would be like being raised on Kansas City BBQ and not really understanding how good it is until you venture out of your nest and try other region's BBQ. Then you realize just how lucky you are to have experienced the best for your entire life. Oh wait, that happened to me too! So, yes, The Candy Janes are like a delectable slab of baby back ribs. They will make you forget to swallow with their savory, scintilating dancing and they'll tickle your funny bone just for good measure. This is an act that has a big future. Get in on the ground floor and you'll never be disappointed. Pros: Simmering Burlesque dancing rife with laughter Cons: None to speak of more

Fun and sexy cabaret 11/9/2009

Ive seen a few Candy Janes shows, and I have yet to be disappointed. Great music, great dancing, and HOT girls with funny skits mixed with a great host. Its a small enough venue where you can be interactive with the show, but not feel awkward. Pros: funny comedy, sexy ladies Cons: too short more

AWESOME Cabaret! 10/30/2009

The Candy Janes show is hilarious and HOT! They're a talented young troupe of dancers/singers and the show is a real riot. I had a lot of fun when I went and plan to go back soon. Definitely go check them out. Pros: Love the Candy Janes show! Cons: Need more skilled bartenders... more

Best Cabaret Show in Town! 10/25/2009

The Candy Janes show is one of the best ways to simultaneously enjoy Guns n' Roses, beautiful women, and comedy at the same time. It's nice to see some burlesque action performed by talented dancers for a change, instead of the usual overweight girls in corsets that don most of these sort of stages. And they even sing, too! Highly, highly, highly recommended. Pros: Numerous Cons: It's only one hour more

Great Place for Laughs 6/24/2009

I have been to a lot of clubs in the city and this is a great one to go too. I get skeptical when clubs tell me "TV HEADLINERS" but when I sat down and watched I actually saw these comedians on TV, from VH1, Comedy Central and HBO. Alot of great jokes. I would recommend it. Its always busy so I say call ahead! Pros: Friendly Staff more

Awesome Comedy Club 2/4/2009

I had some family in from out of town and rather than do the same 'ol broadway show we decided to go to a comedy club. The club is technically in the theater district so we still did the Times Square thing, but it was refreshing to see some raw comedy. Great club, great comedians, great time...highly recommended! Pros: A ton of fun... Cons: none more

GOOD COMEDY for cheap! 1/31/2009

Hi went the other night and I live close by, but has friends in town. We had a great time saw the best comedians in NYC and paid half what I would have paid anywhere else in the city. I was surprised that most of the comedians I had seen on TV, so it was exciting to have my friends from Oklahoma see them in person. Thanks Broadway Comedy Club! more

Funny Comics & Great Wings 1/31/2009

Best comedy club in Manhattan. Having attended many comedy clubs, the Broadway Comedy Club is the best blend of location, price and talent..I bought tickets in Times Square, walked a few short blocks and was there. The club is nicely appointed. I saw great comics, many who I have recognized from Comedy Central and HBO. Compared to other clubs in the city it was reasonably priced. Best wings in town, and as an extra treat they served Juniors Cheescake , heaven on earth. Would highly recommend Broadway Comedy Club and hope to be there soon. Pros: Great comedians..Great wings and desserts Cons: none more

My face still hurts from laughing so hard 1/31/2009

Was recently at Broadway comedy club and saw christian finnegan from vh1...What a wonderful suprise. I have been to Broadway Comedy Club 5 times. Once I saw Jim Gaffigan there...I thought nothing could top that experience but Broadway Comedy Club fails to disappoint. The staff is always pleasant and you never know who might drop in to do comedy. I would recommend it to anyone in town to see comedy. Pros: Very reasonable drink prices Cons: None more

Possibly the worst comedy club experience there is. 1/19/2009

Being a local Hells Kitchener, thought I would try out our local comedy club. What did we have to lose right? Please keep in mind that I have been to at least 10 comedy clubs in the city for reference Here is a list of my experience: Noise-- Seemed like an out of control high school cafeteria. Noisy, rude, no control. Could barely hear the comedians. People seemed disinterested. Accoustics were terrible. Employees and people coming in and out at will. No control. Crowd--Seemed to cater towards tourists and./or underage people. Comedians: Only stayed for half of the show but they seemed terrible. Almost like an open mike night. Drinks-- The rum and coke and wine we had were so bad -- we could not drink them. Supposedly they don't have a full liquor license -- who knows. Management--Supposedly the manager was in Israel and that's why it was chaotic. Are you kidding me? They gave us free tickets. Do you want them? For $40+ dollars, for just drinks -- you can have them. I am not usually this negative but wanted to protect future patrons from this place. If you are not an underage person or tourist, it might be the worst experiece ever. It was so bad -- we had to walk out. Pros: ? Cons: Noise, people, management, comedians, environment more

Great Club! 10/14/2008

Broadway Comedy Club is at a great midtown location and the Friday show at 10pm has been consistantly funny (I've gone to that one 3 times). Drinks aren't overpriced and the comedians ( a lot with TV creds) know how to bring the funny. I would definitely go again. Pros: Great comedians, good service Cons: Crowded more
