I found stylist from b salon 4/2/2007

b salon closed down completely on Dec. 30, 2006. Other top Japanese haistylist who worked at b salon, Hachi and Reiko, opened up their own salon named rh plus hair salon at 805 3rd avenue bet. 49th and 50th street on the 2nd floor. The contact number is (212)644-8058. I was a b salon client for many years and after they closed I was ecstatic to find Hachi and Reiko's salon, and decided to go to them. The salon is beautiful and I had a wonderful experience with them. I was also surprised and glad to see that Lorraine(b salon receptionist) was still with them. She is so sweet. I recommend everyone to visit rh plus. Pros: view, elevator, and secured building more

Glenn -- Excellent cut & color 10/28/2005

I recently had my hair cut and colored by Glenn at B Salon. The results were amazing! I've never had such beautiful blonde highlights -- my hair looks just like it did when I was a kid in the summertime. And the cut was excellent; no matter how I dry it, it comes out fantastic! I have stopped looking around for a place for good haircuts since I found Keiko a year ago. I recently got some great highlights too. Getting "good haircuts" can be subjective but Keiko is awesome! more

Not so Fast 11/20/2003

I seem to be the exception here, but I recently had a pretty bad experience at this place. I received a very poorly done cut and style from a man who talked incessantly and didn't seem to pay much attention to my hair. I found the salon itself to be a bit run down...not at all what I was expecting after reading the reviews here. My hair is WAY shorter than I wanted it, besides being uneven and choppy. Now I have to let it grow out before I can go get it fixed somewhere else. Just be careful. Pros: Nice receptionist Cons: Bad Haircut, Not very upscale more

All i have to say is i am no longer hunting anywhere else to get my hair done! I found the place where the staff is extremely professional and are experts whoever you get. They are precision and creative cutters. I was amazed at the results and was never diappointed. No pressure into anything and i felt as ease. You will feel like you are more at a spa rather a salon. Pros: PRECISION CUTS, PRICED REASONABLY, CLEAN & FRIENDLY SVCS Cons: NONE WHATSOEVER more

Very Inexpensive! 6/8/2003

I've had my hair cut at this salon several times. I have always gotten a decent cut. This place is so cheap for this area! Nice place, calm enviro. The blowdry after my cut hasn't always been up to par, but for the prices, it's fine. Someday I'll have to try out the color there. Pros: Very Cheap!, Easy to get appt., Not crazy inside Cons: Poorly done blowdry more

My Hair Color Rocks!!! 5/12/2003

I love my hair color. In fact, this is the best color I've gotten. Danielle listens to me and does a beautiful job every time I go to B Salon. I have not had my hair cut there before, but I definitely recommend getting color there. I tell all my friends about it!! Pros: Calm atmosphere, Great color!!!, Nice people more

Touch my hair! 11/7/2002

Keiko has been cutting my hair in New York for over 10 years. I have always been pleased with her knowledge of the hairdressing industry, professional manner and overall technique, which brings the best look for me. I recently tried the "Japanese Straight Perm" which gave my hair a silky smooth texture and perfect blow dried look, all day. My hair is so easy to take care of since the "Wash and Ready" became a reality. Keiko has already had 3 years experience since the Japanese straight perm was introduced to the US. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to experience reasonably priced, long lasting, beautiful straight hair. more

Consistently the Best! 8/27/2002

I have had my hair cut at b salon for about 3 years now, and several different people there have cut my hair. They were all good, but Keiko was the best. I only go to her now, and she is so consistent and thorough. It's unbelievable that her prices are so reasonable. Every single time I get a great haircut. The service at the salon is pretty good too, but more important than anything, I walk out with a great haircut every time. I always send my friends to Keiko and they always thank me afterward. Go see her, you'll be glad you did! Pros: Skill of stylist, friendly, great value more

I've had my color screwed up so many times, that I was very nervous going back to a salon. But my friend had her color fixed by Danielle at B-SALON, she did such an amazing job on my friend that I had to try her. FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!! that sums up my visit with Danielle. Now I have the color I've always wanted. more
