this place is great for a shopping break in soho! the turkish food is delicious, the wine selection is great, and the staff are so friendly & attentive (a welcome change from the usual soho scene)! we had a great dinner and the prices were affordable - would definitely recommend coming back. oh, and in the summer, the front tables are great for people-watching! The unique food and decor of antique garage is an excellent choice for me and friends during the day or at night. They serve authentic Mediterranean cuisine with great selections of wine from South America and Europa. Also they have a live jazz band during the week and on Sunday brunch. One of the most important thing is that i like about the restaurant is the friendliest staff and good choice of music..this restaurant is a MUST if you are around mercer & grand. This has quickly become one of my new favorite go-to places for lunch. The decor is great. The cucumber lemon flavored water is nice during the summer. The menu is excellent for both lunch and dinner. Everything I've tried so far (and it's been a lot) has been excellent. My favorites so far are the meatballs, the chicken kebab, the perfectly seared tuna, the hummus, and the pasta with feta cheese. They are serving very good wines. They have wines from different regions and a few are offered by the glass. I tried the malbec and was satisfied with it. Service is also very good. Food was tasteful but a little bit pricey. I tried the meatballs. more

3.5 starts. Great atmosphere, convenient location, and delicious food. I came here for lunch with potential clients. Everything tasted fantastic and the warm ambiance definitely helped smooth over awkward moments. Minus .5 star for the price. It is good food, but I don't think it's worth the price. It is nice when they are able to open the ""garage door"" for an open air feel. However, on a brutally hot day like yesterday when I was hoping to have good food in the comfort of an airconditioned space, it seemed a bit ridiculous to have the door open, letting all the cold air escape. And the poor waiters with their long sleeves and ties must have been miserable in that heat. Next time it is this hot, I hope they think of comfort for customers and wait staff rather than an opening to the outside heat. more

A friend took me for dinner here and the selection of wine and foods were wonderful! The check arrived in a beautifully crafted wooden box with leather binding. Although they would not sell it to me, I will certainly return! more

I took my boyfriend for our anniversary and we had a perfect night out. The place is beautiful, and the ambience is fabulous due to the nice crowd, great decoration, excellent music. We had a cocktail at the bar accompanied by some tasty meze?s to begin, then a delicious main course of Turkish Meatballs and Shrimp Casserole . The food and service were really outstanding, and the staff super friendly. I absolutely recommend it as a great place for all occasions actually, not just a romantic night out, they have a fab long table for groups too. Wine selection was very good also. I had been dying to go to this place, because it is so cute and has live music. I finally went with a friend recently, and we were both really disappointed in the food. We had the mixed mezze platter, and the ""eggplant salad"" (babaganoush) tasted like BBQ potato chips. We also had the cheese plate, and the cured meats plate. The cheese were yummy, but the meats were really not great. The wine was lovely, though, as was the service, the decor and the music, so I'd just go for a drink and to hang out next time. I had heard so many good things about this place and it absolutely lived up to it's reputation. I was there with a group of friends on a Friday night and had a GREAT time. The atmosphere and the music was fantastic. Friendly servers and the amazing mediterranean dishes made this place an instant favorite in our short list of ""go to"" spots... This is an expensive restaurant with a lot of bad service. I went and the owner take me to the table ( he told me he was the owner). I asked for a drink and the waiter brough me a glass full of ice with soda and my expectation of a drink was wrong because in a few minutes I just had water with soda. Then I asked for octupus, that's is good but very small, I'm talking about five little pieces for 14 dollars... \r But the worse part was the entree because they brough to me a big big plate for a small table with the band besides us!!! I asked for a glass of wine and they brough a dirty glass with something...\r The owner is very rude with the staff he screamed to them in front of the customers and for us is unrespectfull because they work for him and for people who go to eat. i broke up with my boy friend and two weeks later i gave him a chance to talk with me so he invited me to the garage. it is love garage, it is old garage , it is antique garage... atmosphere takes you to the europe antique ages and you feel beeing like juliette. its lovely place with antique items plates, chairs, lights, carpets and so on. it has a small balkony which has got excelent over wiew to all salon. menu is not complicated by this way you may choose your dish so easy. they have live jazz music too its free! thats totally awsome. waiters are so cool i just met with one of them his name is talha he was so kind and so helpfull about the menu. he saw the nycity map on the table and asked me ` do you need any information about the city ?` -we came from nebraska and do not know anything about newyork.so he told me where to shop and how to get there by the easiest way , it helped me so much and the service was excelent as the atmosphere. and also we had so much fun by chatting with him, waiters were all connected with the managers, there where 3 managers working at the same time .by this way we were so comfortable.food is highly recomended! even my boyfriend like their desserts he only eats desert once in a year :) their house coctails and special wines are unique (we had a bottle of ankayra or ankara i dont remember the name that was the best wine i ever taste in my life lovely taste of the red wine makes me fall in love with my boy friend again). barthender has a unbeliveble knowledge about drinks while i was passing by the bar trough to the bathroom i chat her 5 minutes and i learned so many thinks. \r talha told me that they do catering and private parties also i will make a reservation for my boyfriends birthdayparty :)\r my grade for them will be 10 good job guys keep it up!\r \r more

It's hard to find these kind of places anymore. Especially in Soho. This is a beautiful restaurant with beautiful antique decoration. everything (from plates to furniture) is unique. They have pretty good mediterrenean food. Especially the fish specials, borek and the meatballs... Also live jazz bands, extensive wine list and creative cocktails (Try ""Last Call"" and ""Mojito Royal"") give this place also a cool lounge feeling. Attentive staff knows the food and makes the experience only better. When my husband mentioned the name, I hesitated, as it just sounded odd. However, as usual, he was right and it turned out to be one of our best dining experiences in a long time. The service is so gracious, the ambience is gorgeous and the food is delicious. The turkish meatballs were so lean, tender and perfectly seasoned, and the appetizer platter had not a single miss.
