I registered to this class through a Groupon offer. This was a terrible class. First of all, I was under the impression that it will involve some wine tasting. There was not wine...

Working for the restaurant industry all my life I have worked every job from the back of the house to the front except bartending . I took this class to finish the last piece of the pie to a bright future in my restaurant career . What I liked the best was that you learn at the pace a bartender would. Howard teaches you how it is in the real world so it’s not a shock when you are working your first job. I would recommend this class to all my friends because its worth every penny. more

I was unemployed for about 5 months and I decided to take a different route. I do love alcoholic drinks, and bars I figured I should do it!. In class I was like a sponge absorbing everything possible about alcohol and how in depth it was I never knew. Our instructor was great a little harsh at times but it was because he wanted us to be the best in NYC.\r I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new way to make a living. more

I need to increase my annual net profit so the cash from bartending can definitely help me achieve my goals. The class was very hands on and straight to the point. Howard was very firm yet forgiving. Which made the class fun yet it makes you strive to be the best. Bartending is a great way to make money and the school taught me more than I ever thought it would.\r more

Woo woo, that is one of my favorite new drinks! I am a social person and cannot be chained down to a desk. The best part of the class was the speed drills , our instructor made sure we knew what was in the drinks if not you had to do it again till you got it. (Tough Love). The facilities were easy to use and it was a very helpful and friendly learning environment. more

I was such nervous nelly when I started the class , I felt like I had two left feet. By my second week I felt like I have been doing this my whole life. I was shaking and pouring like a pro my drink times got faster and my confidence in myself went up and up. Going to school for this was way out of my comfort zone, but I am glad I went through it. Now I have a positive outlook at the next step in my new career. Thanks so much American Bartenders School more

As an actor bartending is a part time job that fits my busy audition schedule. I still need to pay rent while acting/singing and doing voice overs. The instructor had amazing insight, stories, humor and likeability- a true bartender. One of my favorite parts of the class other than making the drinks was the explanation and history of the drinks, that was really helpful. I now have some interviews lined up at my favorite places. more

Class was great it was such a stress reliever after work and I enjoyed attending every day. That was years ago back in 98’ , it’s been awhile since I have been behind the bar and I wanted to get back into it. I found out that if I already went through the class that I would not have to pay again for a refresher class what a bargain. Joe verified my information and I was able jump back in. This investment from a long time ago paid off big time!!!!! more

Working with my schedule 5/6/2012

I had a great time and the morning class fit my busy schedule. I learned more than I thought was possible in two weeks. Every thing was great I just wish we had a little less lecture time and more take home assignments. But every one was very supportive and let me know that if I needed more time I could stay as long as needed. more

Great Wine Course 4/19/2012

I've always wanted to learn about wine...at the very least understand the basics about wine. Before I took this class I hardly knew the difference between Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay. I left the class feeling educated about wine, tannins, full bodied wines, and why grape varietals make wines taste different from each other. The class was fun and informative. The instructor was great he knew a lot and kept the class interesting. more

NYC's finest 4/15/2012

This is the first time I have had to study in a long time. My brain felt like it had a work out.. There is a lot of memorizing of drinks to be a good bartender. My teachers drilled the variety of recipes in my head. They told me that would make me the best because of my knowledge and customer service skills. I thought bartending was all about handing out beers but that is not true. I now know that its a skill that needs to be sharped like a knife to get good. Thanks American Bartenders School for the tough love. more

clubin 4/6/2012

My dream has always been to work in a club as a bartender. I love the music the people and the whole scene. This class taught me everything I need to know to get my dream started. The teachers were great and nice, it all looked so real from the liquor to the bar setup . My teachers were great they helped me write a good resume and taught me how to interview so I would know what to do and say on my job interviews. The class was taught with details and love they really wanted to make sure that you learned it all before they set you off into the world of bartending. more
