local athletic store 9/1/2005

This is really the only place to go in Park Slope if you are looking for sneakers. There are some other little shoe stores, but Jackrabbit is the only specifically athletic store that I know of. It's the local stop for sneakers, athletic clothing, water bottles and all those other random things that athletic shoe stores sell and regular shoe stores don't. It's nice to have a place like this on 7th Ave and to not have to go all the way to Modell's. more

Great Place For Sneakers 8/17/2005

Jack rabbit sports is one of the best place to go for sneakers. They have the latest and greatest and all the brands. The have most sizes and the have big sizes like size four teen. They have a couple racks of appearel. I highly recommend Jack rabbit sports. So if you live in the brooklyn neighborhood come and drop by. more

Finally a place to buy sneakers 8/15/2005

I went to Jackrabbit because I heard about their bio-mechanical feedback. They have a treadmill set up so after you try on a pair of sneakers, you get on the treadmill for about 45 seconds. They tape you running and then analyze your stride in those sneakers. So in addition to telling you that you over or under pronate, they are able to examine your form and tell you if the sneakers you are wearing actually improve your form. Prices are average, but the sales staff is great! I couldn't recommend them higher for the serious runner. more
