Real Auto Driving school has changed my life. I did not believe that I would be able to actually learn how to drive. My instructor Mike was patient and helped me gain the confidence that I needed in order to pass our test. He is honest and provides clear feedback. I would recommend this auto school for anyone who needs to gain confidence on the road!
Pros: Flexible times, reasonable pricing

More
I can't claim to be a dedicated yoga practicioner -- I tend to use it as low-impact cross-training and injury prevention for other activities -- but I've taken my fair share of classes at studios in Seattle, LA, and New York, and I have a strong sense for what I like (steady pacing, strong flow from position to position, balanced work for all parts of the body) and what I don't (too much chanting or psuedo-medico-philosophical "discussion" about my chakras -- or anybody else's for that matter).
This past weekend I was visiting my brother in Park Slope and at his suggestion we dropped by for a 90-minute Vinyasa class at Park Slope Yoga on Union (in the same block as the Food Co-Op). Here's my take on the good and the bad of my experience at this studio:
First, the good.
- At $10 a class (plus $1 mat rental fee), a drop-in class here is a great value.
- The studio was reasonably clean and pleasant to be in.
- The instructor -- once she got past the chanting part of her program -- put together a great series of poses with excellent pacing and continuity.
- The other students -- with just a few notable exceptions -- were respectful of the instructor and their fellow-students.
Now, the less-good:
- This studio is affiliated with another in Manhattan (a small local chain?), and the drop-in registration process included a scripted spiel, including "required" reading about discounts for signing up, and a demand that I check back after the class to give feedback on my intent to join as a member. This felt a little jarring at a yoga studio, and could at least be more gracefully handled (if not dropped altogether).
- Too much chanting in languages that - I'd be happy to wager - not one person in the class actually speaks or understands. I always enjoy the collaborative series of "om's" at the beginning and end of class -- no matter what health or spiritual benefits it may offer, it sounds really cool -- and it's hard to argue with a little 'namaste' now and again (apart from Dick Cheney, who doesn't believe in peace?). But to sing for 5 minutes (I'm not joking) a song to which nobody knows the words, just to establish our cred as serious yogis, strikes me at so much my-chakra's-bigger-than-your-chakra posturing.
It may be that Vinyasa is just a bad choice for me, given the nature of my objections. And despite the minor annoyances detailed above, I think Park Slope Yoga Center offers a good class at a great value, and I'd go again next time I'm in town. But if you're allergic to yoga-related sales pitches and would rather skip the chanting altogether, it may not work for you.

This place is great for kids parties, and just for kids to go when the parents are working. The staff keep the kids occupied. For parties, you can close down the place and the kids can place and laugh and eat. They also have someone come in dressed up like a character of your choice to surprise them. The prices aren't bad, and its in a good neighborhood. You can drop the kids off before work or an event and be assured that they will have fun.

Abraham Lincoln High School is has the potential to be a great school, but there is definitely a dangerous atmosphere. Every day after school there is always a strong NYPD police presence as it is a NYC Impact School which means it needs more security than other schools. No students are allowed to bring cell phones to school, which is enforced by 3 metal detectors at the main entrance. The highlight of this school is obviously the sports teams, which have produced NBA stars Stephan Marbury and Sebastian Telfair.

This is one of the few bowling alleys in this area. The place is huge! They have arcade games, lots of lanes and a snack bar. Gil Hodges Lanes also allows you to have parties. It is usually pretty empty so you don't have to worry about a line. Compared to other lanes there prices are very low. There basic things such as bowling balls and shoes are in good condition.

My children go to Rainbow and I'm so happy I sent them there. They are bright to begin with, and knew a lot already, but they just blossomed there. They learned their colors, shapes, alphabet, numbers, and especially how to get along with others. The staff is so caring and they love the kids and you can see it. I don't mind leaving my children there knowing they are in their good hands. The facillity is very clean and the kids are happy to be there. My children will definitely be ready for school when the time comes.

This is a great college to attend to if you want to major in engineering. This is one of the top engineering schools around. Engineering is a hard major but you will earn a lot of money. Things will be hard in this school but it is worth it because they teach you well to be a good engineer. This is a private school and the tuition is high. It will cost you around $25,000 for you first year in this college.

One of my children is really into drawing and art, so we took a trip to Scribbles on the advice of a teacher. They have just about anything that you would need either for art class, or just to keep in the house to keep the kids busy. We bought a ton of stuff and the prices were pretty good, and I also bought some stuff for Christmas gifts. She'll love the great assortment of really different types of markers and stamps that I got there. It was so much fun looking around there too.

I never knew a CUNY college would be this good. I though it was a bad school until I my friend attended there. The campus was beautiful. There was a big clock tower and a great lawn. Its definitely a great academic place to learn. The whole campus is outfitted with Wi-Fi for students and they give free laptops to honor students. I think its a great college in our neighborhood.
