Dharma is a wonderful place to get a massage. The staff (Lauren and Lindsey) are both super nice and really helpful. Before each massage you fill out a form about where you have pain / discomfort / etc. and they talk to you about where you need work and what they think the best approach for your issues are. They also talk to you during the massage to make sure the pressure is good and they are not hurting anything as they work. They are obviously both very well trained in human physiology and really help you to feel better and I highly recommend Dharma Healing Arts!
Pros: Great staff, nice atmosphere, good all around
Cons: None

I love the botanical garden, because it takes u away from the concrete jungle of BROOKLYN..its soothing, romantic array of organic flowers are absolutely breathtaking. I love goin to the garden on the weekends with my fiance' and our children...because they get to pick the type of flowers they want to take home and plant in our own garden. I would recommend anyone go just for a romantic outing or just to get some solitude. Its also PERFECT for weddings
Pros: EVERYTHING
Cons: NOTHING

The Brooklyn Museum reached it peek a while ago, when it was home to the best art school and it featured collections of some great arts and archeology.
Now it is a shadow of it's former self. Recent visit to the museum shows it is lacking in the patronage that used to support the exhibits and the staff isn't as sharp as it once was.
I still love wandering through the various collections - the Egyptian Collection is fabulous, and the Oriental collections are still outstanding.
This museum really is a great place to visit, just needs to attract interest again.
I know my way around, and I did manage to find some collections and the featured exhibit pretty much. But the staff was almost invisible,

The Museum has a ton of hand on experiences for the children to have fun and learn at the same time. All the exhibits and shows are geared to educate the children and are in very simple terms.

Located on a busy street close to downtown, Yoga People's studio manages to be a calm oasis. Just steps away from the borough's offices, this little studio provides quality instruction. The studio is located up a steep flight of stairs.
They have two studios, so two different styles of classes can be offered at the same time. They have comprehensive children's yoga (starting at age 4) as well as teen yoga.
They teach many styles, but seem to focus on Vinyasa. Angela teaches a great class on Monday afternoons.
Teacher training is also provided. Small changing area in the main vestibule. The rates are average (about $16 per class) and the rooms are well card for and spacious.

Come check out the wild art installations in the front window. Once packed with clothes and goods, it now runs like an art space. Shows rotate throughout the year with opening parties that are always packed. Behind the art in the storefront windows is a small boutique with re-constructed clothes, handmade notes, and other oddities. This is not your average space; it is a bit punk and a bit disturbing at times.
