This place is very vegetarian friendly. As a vegetarian I highly recommend it. I have written a longer review on my blog. Check it out at www.urbanherbivores. The review is under the same heading as what I have here.
Pros: the selection
Cons: not a great dessert menu

There is no better place in the city to get burgers. Soooo delicious, just spicy enough, and really great fries too. Plus a good beer selection. They have chipotle mayo to dip the fries in, too, which is yummy. I highly recommend this place - just go early, it gets crowded!

Scottadito is one of my favorite brunch places but very recently I held my sister's baby shower in their back room. I can't say enough about how wonderful it was. We had forty guests. We showed up and were completely taken care of by Katherine and the rest of the staff. All the guests were impressed with the quality and quantity of food and with the service; we practically had to kick people out the door at the end. The food was fresh and delicious and the servers were very attentive with the drinks. (The food was served family style so they graciously wrapped up the leftovers for us.) The back room was curtained off from the restaurant and it was bright and comfortable. Katherine said that they can hold up to sixty in the back room but we filled up the extra space with a mountain of baby shower gifts, so keep that in mind. The Fettucini al Funghi was amazing! Street parking was available up and down the adjacent streets but most of the guests parked in the garage next door.
Pros: fresh, delicious food; excellent service
Cons: hard wooden chairs

Now I know food! And Mexican Food is a favorite of mine, hence I've dined in many restaurants in the NYC area. And I Must say that this place is one of my favorites. The Food is great (or at least the super tacos are) and the guacamole and chips are awesome!
They serve one of the best tasting Caramel Flans that I've ever had.
Service is Good, Not Great...But Friendly.
Selection is Ok...And Decor is not aesthetically pleasing, but typical for a mexican spot.
Pros: Excellent Tacos/Guacamole/Flan

I called this company on Thursday for a Saturday move and they were able to squeeze me in. I only had them move my furniture from a two bedroom apartment in a two flight walkup in Boreum Hill to a two bedroom in a two family house in Bay Ridge.
The movers showed up a 1/2 hour earlier than scheduled, wrapped the furniture, disassembled two pieces, and loaded the van in 2 hours. It took them about 20 minutes to get to Bay Ridge and finished the job in 4 hours. The furniture made it in one piece with minor nicks and scratches which can easily be covered with a furniture marker.
I used 4 guys which definately helped with time. I would suggest moving any boxes ahead of time to reduce the cost, if possible. I definatley could see a move taking over 6 hours for a two bedroom if they are moving boxes and furniture. The guys were professional and a pleasure to work with.
Pros: Fast, Handle Furniture with care.

This bar is walking distance away from the Pavillion Movie Theather...while waiting for a movie to start we decided to go in and try one of their famous containers. Its basically tap beer....but im not going to lie its the best beer ever!!!!
I dont know what it is about the beer...but it beats anything I have ever tried.
You def must stop by this lil corner hole in the wall bar and try one of their containers...they are HUGE...think 7/11 BIG GULP size....and only $5.00!!!
Pros: Cheap Good Beer...Enough Said!
Cons: A lil run down...but that adds to the bar's charachter!

Solid mexican; margaritas can be a bit too sweet at times, but not bad. Love the veggie options, and service has sincerely improved in the past year (nothing to complain about in the past 6 months, and my boyfriend and I go there at least 2x a month). Definitely better than any other mexican I've had in Williamsburg, especially a certain place on Bedford Avenue that A) deleted my negative review and B) was shut down last year and should have stayed closed. Anyway, that's neither here nor there - Vamanos to Chula!

The great atmosphere, fun waitresses, and knowledgeable owner make this place a keeper. It's very relaxed and the staff always seems to be in a good mood. The food is delicious classic bistro fare (love the escargots and foie gras...everything that's good for you!), but if you like something a bit more unusual, the duck spring rolls, chicken roll stuffed with shiitakes, and Cajun-spiced tuna are all excellent. As for the wine...that alone is worth the trip. They don't fool around at Bacchus. It's all French regional wines, some organic, at different price points, i.e., there's a wine for everyone here. AND if you're not into wine, try the beer on tap.
Pros: great all around, this place is a lot of fun, and totally unpretentious
Cons: none
